TLS Mini Christmas Party!

Come one and all to the Lifestream Mini Christmas Party!

The name is a loose translation of Pikkujoulu, a Finnish tradition. It's an informal party, less about Christmas than it is about friends or colleagues getting together to have fun before they go their separate ways for the holidays. It's also an excuse to drink, because you can never have enough of those, right?

Our version will be held next Saturday, the 16th of December. I'll say that 20:00 UTC (click here to convert to your timezone) is our starting time, but since it's going to be very casual, you can show up significantly later than that, and come and go as you please. I'll be up all night anyway.

The venue will be Discord voice chat. You'll need a microphone and headphones, or a headset. If you don't have them, you can chat from your phone via the Discord app (Android, iOS). Everyone is welcome, even if you've never been on Discord before.

Potential party activities include:

• Games from the Jackbox Party Pack 2
• Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes
• Cards for Humanity, an online Cards Against Humanity clone
• Skribbl.io, an online Pictionary clone
• Mafia/Werewolf, The Resistance or similar games (run by yours truly)
• Final Fantasy trivia
• Drinking games
• Improv games
• Watching things together on Rabbit
• Karaoke (or just singing together – I'll need those drinking games first though)

Plus all manner of general japery and bonhomie. I described those activities as "potential" because it will all depend on who is there and what they feel like doing. No party dictators here.

Let us know if you can make it by posting in this thread (or just show up on the night – that's fine too!), share ideas and preferences if you have any, and start getting into a festive mood! I hope to see you there!

Also, my mate managed to find a music bot to add to our discord voice chat that can play stuff off YouTube so you could use something like that to play annoying Christmas songs while there aren't games and stuff going on if you wanted!

Are you sure it's not 10 AM? Since it's 8 PM for me. But hopefully it'll go on so long that you can join in your afternoon/evening.

Edit: Actually, I'm gonna push the starting time back by a couple of hours. It'll be 20:00 UTC (also 20:00 UK time, I hope that's not a problem for anyone). Updated conversion link here.
