I look forward to seeing the new set of bots and hopefully, more screen time for the robots than just human banter on the 2007 film.

@Yop: Indeed. Everyone is suspecting the villain is going to be the Fallen. If you don't know who he is...he's one of the original thirteen transformers created by Primus(God of the Transformers), to combat Unicron(Primus' evil opposition). But, Fallen betrays Primus and sides with Unicron. Fallen and Unicron were defeated by Primus and sucked through a blackhole to be sent to another dimension. Unfortunately for Fallen, he was trapped in "underspace"(between dimensions).
This guy is like the Cthulhu of Transformers.
"The character appears in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009). Director Michael Bay described him as "apocalyptic". An endoskeletal robot with large tentacles, which is behind the wall painting, was hinted at being the Fallen."
Also, I suspect if he appears in the second film, it will set the third film for the return of Unicron, which will also be epic.

My complaints exactly. We're here to see some robots. Not some teenage loser playing grabass with a girl who in reality is just probably playing with him for the lulz until the robot came along. And I somewhat (sorry y0) found the presence of the GI Joe guys in Qatar extraneous and inane... Same for the Sector Seven fags.

things that must be improved in the sequel:
- Less screen time from the GI Joes
- No screen time for the S7
- Less screen time for Sam
- Less screen time for new human characters
- A transformer beating a transformer boss
- None of that teenage movie experience like going to a lake party or some crap

I liked the first one, but I didn't love it. The graphics were very impressive. I'll be seeing the new one, but mostly because its in Philadelphia

Philadelphia? It's taking place in Philadelphia? While I know it's a movie, I live about 15 to 30 minutes away from Center City, Philadelphia. Doubly sweet! ;D *thumbs up* I hope they came to Philly/will come to Philly to shoot though...
I hate it when people make up what Philadelphia is like; and then I have to hear from certain individuals, 'what part of Philly is that?!'
Okay, one individual and she probably won't be seeing this movie with me at any time. But it happened with The Sixth Sense.
Anyhow - I'll have to read the other comments, as I've got to go do something at this moment.
But first, let me say, I liked the first movie, but it was more because of the action (and I love the Transformers) more so than anything else.
Also, at least one big plot loophole... That is:

I did like sam and his family though , they were just spazz's and the confrontation in sams room whilst looking for the glasses was hillarious in my opinion.Maybe because similar has happened to me but it still made me crack up.
i liked megan fox's character as well , not sure why maybe its because i thought she was hot?
I could deal with less human involvement but i dont want them to be totally gone either.
