@ Regarding Primus: I hated when they followed that path. *sigh* I really like the G1 cartoon - Vector Sigma and Alpha Trion were so much more interesting, same with the Quintessons! Now, VS is Primus and all that... Grrr... Though, yeah, it can work, it just really kills it for me. >

I believe Acree, Side Swipe, Jolt, and Jetfire will appear as Autobots. It's somewhat odd tho, Jetfire was originally a Decepticon. This is a possible concept of Acree.
Soundwave and Barricade are supposed to appear as Decepticons. Also, the Devastator is rumored to make an appearance. Devastator is a combined form of six constructicons(trucks). He's nearly three times taller than Optimus Prime, and one brutal mofo.
I hear there will be around 40 bots in total appearing in the film.
Also, the first teaser trailer will be shown during the Super Bowl on February 1.

Really? (though not at this moment) I live in Philly. Yeah they alreay filmed, you cna find some videos on youtube of them filming on Penn's campus. Yeah it does actually take place there. My cousin actually saw them filming in City Hall for a scene that is supposed to be in Paris but they just did up the courtyard to look like it.

Pretty sure theyll come up with something to just get a big baddy on the silver screen. There probably thinking they need to go big or go home (johnny tsunami reference ftw) then the last movie.
Thus all the autobots , dinobots and decipticons appearing in this movie.
Im just afraid its going to bust an X3 and have alot of awesome character you want to see on screen but just turned into nameless characters who die in ten seconds.

That was an error. The tank in the film identifies itself as Devastator, but if you look at the credits, his actual name is Brawl. Michael Bay decided to be an idiot, and rename the character Devastator because it sounded better, even tho it wasn't the character's name.

Michael Bay is one of the worse directors I've seen. In spite of that, Transformers is the only sort of film that requires such special effects and action sequences. Even tho the first film might have been better if it were directed by someone else, I think Bay did a good job.
