I saw that video many-a-times, and I still stand with my position that Optimus knew what he had to do, but that doesn't mean he enjoyed it. He never said things like, 'give me your face!' (if I heard correctly in the movie), or 'any last words?' with an air of haughtiness. He was strong, and yeah sometimes his words could be considered mockery, but they always held truth within therm. As well, as that video does point out, if Optimus was ready to take 'any cost' to stop Megatron, he would have fired when Megatron got the upper hand over Hot Rod.

Maybe the movie did have him being a wee bit haughty, but I more or less view it as him being a bit less formal than he was in the G1 series really. In the special features of the first movie DVD, they did say they had Optimus be less formal in it to add more character and then you have to remember,
he was working with the NEST team for a period of 2 years by the time the second movie started so he may have just gotten more resilient and intolerant of the Decepticons over time,
but that's just me. I do understand your point though ^_^.

Yeah the movie was awesome, loved it for pure entertainment and nostalgia. Plot and acting were a bit ropey at times but it made up for it with good action and impressive cgi.
