Resonance of Fate

As we know, last week, tri-Ace has announced a new RPG for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Now it has announced that the game will be called End of Eternity, and will be published by...... SEGA. Yes no SQUARE-ENIX this time.

Accortind to Kotaku's text:
Set in futuristic towering megapolis Bazel, EoE's main characters are 17-year-old Private Military Firm (PMF) mercenary Zefa, 26-year-old ex-solider Vashron and 19-year-old young woman Test Subject No. 20. She's escaped from a research facility where she was housed. All this set against the background of Bazel, which acts as an environment purifier to cleanse the pollution surrounding the Earth.
The game is slated for this winter and is 65% complete until now

I don't know what is happening Dacon... I can't see if there's new threads on general gaming, nor some "old" threads.... they just dissapeared here

Maybe you need to adjust the default thread age cut off limit thing in your options.
Usually it's set so that threads older than a month won't be displayed.
Better to set it to "show all threads" imo.

No, but it actually looks quite good. I didn't know Sega was still producing games tbh, I thought they died out a long time ago.

Even the title makes me think of Final Fantasy... End of Eternity. Looks interesting, though.

Well the game is now announced to the western market named as Resonance of Fate (End of Eternity on the Japan). The game is scheduled to be released on Spring 2010 on US and Europe for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Dunno...SEGA registered recently this name on the US patent directory, along with another name (that I don't remember now). No explanations for the name change on the US.

Well since I really enjoyed the Valkyrie Profile games, I've got confidence in Tri-ace so will probably get this when it comes out.

(also I think the girl in the short red coat looks like the offspring of Aerith and Tifa XD )

*bump*

I still haven't played this game, but I heard good things.

Any good reasons to get this title from you guys?

Holy crap this is an old thread XD.

I've actually never heard of this game, although it looks interesting.

Go play it. Now.

Actually it's kind of quirky but I enjoyed it a lot for what it was.

Truth be told, it's the artistic direction, that convinced me the most. (I find myself getting attracted to the background and storyline more than gameplay, sometimes  ).

You've never heard of Resonance of Fate, Lex? Not that it was a huge game, but it got some noticeable press in RPG circles. Crazy, actiony combat that I heard was pretty hard. I always thought it looked cool, I just never got around to trying it.
And it stars Nolan North who, for all his ubiquity, I haven't heard him in too many Japanese games .

Sorry, it's my fault, I'm on an Enix bender right now, and tracking down old tri-Ace games.

Goddammit I wish they'd make Valkyrie Profile 3: Hrist already....

^ I've never been too fond of Hrist as a character, as opposted to half of the Internet... but boy do I agree with you!!
