Lazarevic is definitely the better final boss. He's kind of scary, and the battle was rather epic, imho.

I hated 2's final boss with a fiery passion. It was just so stupid to run about in circles over and over and over and the guy was just a total bullet sponge.
Having said that, the more I've played 2 and 3 I think I prefer the settings/puzzle/story of 2. There was something about it that 3 just didn't have. 3 wasn't "worse" in any way, I just prefer 2 I think.

What Lex said. Running around in circles filling the guy with clip after clip was pretty stupid. Probably the worst part of the game, in my opinion. Naughty Dog wasn't crazy about it either, they lamented that it's accepted that a game MUST have a final boss, iirc.
I've heard many people prefer 2 as think it was better planned out. I can see that, I suppose, but I certainly had a huge amount of fun with 3. And the final boss was definitely better. I hated Talbot a lot more than Lazarevic too.

But you're not supposed to shoot Lazarevic. If you spent the whole time trying to kill him with bullets then no wonder you don't like that boss fight.
I will give you this. From a character development perspective Marlowe and Talbot were definitely a lot better.

Yes yes, I know you you don't shoot him directly. But it's STILL just running in a circle doing the same thing over and over. It was boring and quite unclimatic which is in strk contrast to the rest of the game.

I too liked 2 better, namely because more there was more Elena/Chloe screentime and it just felt slightly better paced to me. That said I fucking loved 3 as well. I really need to replay the whole series.
And Lazarevic can die in a fucking fire god it took me like 3 fucking hours to beat him on Hard because I'm a fucking derp at console. Though when I played it again on Crushing I beat him in 2 tries because I'd had so much practice

I don't know what you are talking about. I died a few times fighting him on normal, then when I replayed on hard I beat him real quick on the first go. It's the being chased around that makes it fun.
