Oh yeah, I forgot he said that. Then again no one else has made any suggestions yet.
I'm on board with Flint's idea, but you need to give people time to actually respond Aaron. Remember it's a Monday, some TLS'ers only log on a few times during the week.
I say give it til Wednesday and then if there are no objections or new suggestions we go with Flint's idea. I had wanted to go with different colours for site staff and forum staff (not just different shades) but I like the Bold + Italic, Bold, Italic thing enough that I'm happy for the colours to look similar, everything is neater that way.
EDIT: For the record I can't stand italics but it makes sense and I don't mind in this context.

Aaron you make a good point about being able to change them again. I've gone ahead and changed the colours for now to give them a trial run, suggestions are still welcome until Wednesday.
We should probably talk about the donator colour thing, although I think people should have the right to keep it if they choose.

I implemented most of the colour suggestions for people's usernames as well. Except Lex who asked me not to for whatever reason. I haven't yet switched people who are showing as donators to display as site staff. Perhaps I should do that next? I also want to clean up the forum leaders page and show people in rough order of their hierarchy, which is probably the next thing I'll do.

By the way, there are a bunch of people whose current username markups don't represent their highest position (specifically, LicoriceAllSorts, Tetsujin, Fangu, Ghost X, and AvecAloes). I'd like to change these, but I probably shouldn't without asking them. So this is me asking.

In honour of the new colours, I made a new avatar for myself. It's only my third in nearly three years of being at TLS. All three have been musicians. The previous two were George Harrison and Stevie Wonder; you should recognise this one

Oh, yeah, since I didn't mention actually doing this (just alluded to the fact that I was going to do it), the forum leaders page is cleaned up a lot now, though not as much as I'd like (I'd still like to clean up the username colours so they align with people's positions better).

We should have a vote on whether or not staff members are allowed to set custom colours in their titles from now on IMO. It would make the forum look tidier.
I like my gold, but I'm willing to concede if everyone else is on board with it. I'm going to have to point staff members to this thread to hear from everyone before moving forward with it.

Not sure why being a staffer potentially denies one the opportunity to change their username colour. Yes, it's tidier but then so would all of us having the same avatar or signature.
TL;DR, I change mine to go with whatever I'm using at the time, so no u.
I also approve of the revised TLS green, that's far more appropriate.
