It has probably the weakest FF soundtrack of any of the games past 3 but FFX-2 has some nice songs.
Most people know and love this one
But there's also the songs you hear in the Bevelle Infiltration mission ie. the best mission in the game.
And to round it all up, I like 1000 Words as much as any FF vocal track.

Time to scale it back some. After all, you don't need an orchestra or vocals to make great music. Indeed, after the PS4 is out and a whole new generation of gaming has started in ten years or so, I firmly believe this song will remain as one of the best tracks in gaming history.
And let me totally switch things up and mention a far more recent song.
I like Gackt. Sure I like Mana more but Mana hasn't made any songs for video games.

Speaking of KOTOR, these two are my favorite tracks from the entire Old Republic series. The beauty of the pieces is that they have instantly recognisable cues but a strong original tune that gave KOTOR its very own epic soundtrack.
This was the perfect opening track to the perfect opening in the game, with the Sith cue establishing the theme of it. It's very Star Wars in its own right without being a ridiculous rip from the trilogy soundtracks. Well imo it's almost perfect, but not quite: this track (along with a couple of others) didn't really allow for good looping, and it would have been nicer if this track was a little longer.
This theme is a little more hammy, especially with the most obvious homage in the middle of the track, but again, it uses cues without entirely ripping it off. It's a fantastic character theme, and the choice of tremolo in the strings gives this tremendous feeling of mystery, romance and Bastila's strong-willed presence.

I finally got to listen to the new Killer Instinct 3 OST, I gotta say I kinda like it. Sounds 'samey' though.
