Garnet followed by Zidane. I love them both so much but I had to go with Garnet, because while it's refreshing to have a main male protagonist who is genuinely happy without being annoying or overly upbeat, it was more refreshing to have a strong, compelling, and developed female lead. She felt like a real person. I think of all the characters in the game, she experienced the most growth and change. I absolutely love how she can experience so much pain and hardships, all of which seem to happen back to back, and even in her moment of despair, she's still able to overcome these obstacles and become stronger for it. She is hands down my favorite Final Fantasy heroine. I'm pretty sure if I'm ever crazy enough to have children and a child comes out with lady parts, "Garnet" is going somewhere in her name.
