Final Fantasy XV (was Versus XIII)

Halo 5 on the Xbone ended up at over 100GB. Lol I installed it and then immediately uninstalled it when I realised I had no room left for anything else.

Final Fantasy XV (was Versus XIII)

Update details for tomorrow below. Nothing interesting except a few new bosses for Comrades. Damn. I was hoping at the very least, they'd make the moogle festival available again. Makes no sense not to. The only good thing here is that Episode Ardyn is pretty huge. 10GB on consoles (although...

What do you think about Final Fantasy 7 almost being a Final Fantasy 6 Sequel?

I'm gonna replay 6 at some point soon when I find the time. Despite the fact that it's one of my favourites, I've only played it once. I got the patched version of the GBA version running on my 3DS. Original colour and sound, but GBA translation.

30 Days of Final Fantasy (2019)

Blue Mage type thing is awesome in some games, and dull in others. I loved it in FF7 even though it wasn't part of a "class". I also enjoyed it with Quina with how you had to eat them. That was a good way of framing it. Otherwise, Dragoon!

30 Days of Final Fantasy (2019)

Yep, that's probably part of the reason. But I just meant it wasn't obvious they actually intended for it to be a particularly meaningful sword. It was more of a "he looks better with a sword, lets just use the default one" situation. They did do some promotional material with other swords if I...

Final Fantasy XV (was Versus XIII)

Started playing A Kings Tale in anticipation for my final playthrough of the game. I missed this the first time round. It's actually kinda OK. Bit repetitive and could do with more story, but otherwise fairly good.

    The Epic Final Fantasy Medleys

I have several of your medleys in my Music folder from a few years back. Great stuff!

30 Days of Final Fantasy (2019)

Lol the buster sword has the same status as Tifa's boobs. The significance was largely fan-generated after the fact.

30 Days of Final Fantasy (2019)

I always enjoyed Barret's weird weapons. The Cannon Ball was pretty cool. Although slightly impractical. That's because it only really became iconic in the years after the game was released. It was just the default sword in the original game, with no particular importance. It's just because...

    The Legend of Zelda (General)

The facial expressions make that game what it is.

DISNEY has bought 21st Century Fox

That's not specific to the games industry. That's just the Pareto Principle: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareto_principle It applies to pretty much every industry with only a few exceptions. It seems to be caused mostly by human psychology rather than anything to do with any particular...

Bahamut in FFX. All of the summons are awesome in that game because of how they're used, but Bahamut was surely the coolest. Especially at the point you get him. I loved all of the summons in FFXV too but they were used very poorly. You can go through the whole game with hardly ever seeing them.

What do you think about Final Fantasy 7 almost being a Final Fantasy 6 Sequel?

I can't even remember the whole Kefka backstory. Is that why he was crazy?

DISNEY has bought 21st Century Fox

Monopolies aren't really a product of time at all. Google and Microsoft became monopolies within 20 years of their industries starting. Whereas other industries like cars and oil have been going for 100 years and are still incredibly competitive. It's usually about the nature of the product...

DISNEY has bought 21st Century Fox

I was talking about what's good for the customer. You're talking about what's best for employees within the industry. Those 2 things are not at all commensurate, unfortunately. What's good for the customer is constant innovation and extreme competition. That's what the games industry largely...

Final Fantasy XV (was Versus XIII)

Why would it necessarily be in either if it was cut? They obviously didn't put too much unnecessary stuff on the game disc because they were pushing up against the storage limit as it was. I don't know about the Ultimania. Is that the one that was only in Japanese?

Final Fantasy XV (was Versus XIII)

The old 4chan leaks did say that Ardyn originally had a final demon form at the end, but it was cut because they ran out of time.

30 Days of Final Fantasy (2019)

Tidus and Yuna is one of the all time best romances in fiction for me. Not just video games. I struggle to think of a movie/tv/book romance I like more. I quite liked the relationship of Lightning and Snow too, in the first game. Especially since Serah's a complete waste of pixels, I would've...

A Dry Spicy Take Regarding AC.

Batman is a moral paragon of infinite goodness, and definitely has never ever killed hundreds of people, whilst convincing himself they're just unconscious.

DISNEY has bought 21st Century Fox

The games industry has been a great counter-example to this trend of massive conglomerates owning everything. There is no real center of power in the games industry. It's very widely spread between different companies and different countries. Very healthy in general.
