I disagree that they were coy specifically to help sell the game more. They were coy because they are very precious and careful with the narrative, and they wanted to keep the secret that this was not (just) a standard remake of the first and was also the next entry in the compilation.

Got to echo what Clement states. There was no way to expand upon that scene without spoiling literally the main crux of the game. And we also need to remember that this is only the first part - not everything introduced is going to be resolved at this point in time. He's a mystery, that's all...

Yeah, none of that troubles me as much as everyone else. I've separated my love of the original from this new version and I'm interested in seeing all the butterfly effects spiraling out of control withing this new version. There's a lot of exciting things that can be done with that concept...

Nearing the end of TLOU II now. Avoided every single spoiler and I'm actually more dreading reading the game threads more than anything else as I've thoroughly enjoyed the game and I know exactly what aspects the toxic part of the fandom has taken issues with.

Why did you have to remind me? Adding Genesis would be the only thing that would truly ruin Part II for me personally.

Throwing in a last minute nomination for TWEWY. It's a brilliant game to play in segments, with fun combat and a really intriguing storyline, available on Switch, DS, IOS and Android. I'm not a guru on it, but could scan some guides and rustle up a run through if required.
