So, what do you think the LTD conclusion is? (Round 2)

It's the Clerithvision goggles. They work like beer goggles, except you see pink romance instead of pink elephants.

Well, I assumed that when he broke the word into its separate components, he meant looking at the original words that made the compound, which in this case would be "koi" and "hito". (And also because saying "koi" and "bito" gives me bad flashbacks of the "koi bito" pinker claim.)

So, what do you think the LTD conclusion is? (Round 2)

Well, been reading SoS' LTD analysis. Good work, but there was one bit that looked off: Shouldn't the separate components of "koibito" be "koi" and "hito"?

So, what do you think the LTD conclusion is? (Round 2)

I'm not sure how open he might have left it for Tifa to be perceived as pushy and selfish since he did say that he made sure to portray Tifa as someone who doesn't nag or lecture, and that she's usually been described as someone who habitually looks out for others first.

So, what do you think the LTD conclusion is? (Round 2)

You could try: "Perhaps you should reread the novella without any biases clouding your vision." Or "I think you should reassess your interpretation of her character and keep in mind what the author intended to portray," and show the quote that Isabella gave. Personally, though, I think...

So, what do you think the LTD conclusion is? (Round 2)

I don't think he fought the others because he was an outcast and didn't fit in, otherwise he would've been fighting with them right from the beginning. From this, it sounded more like he picked fights with those kids because he was angry at himself for his self-perceived weakness and inability...

So, what do you think the LTD conclusion is? (Round 2)

Especially a statement or scene that's consistent with everything in the entire story of the compilation instead of one single moment isolated from context. I mean, how the heck am I supposed to believe that "I think I can meet her there" is a romantic Clerith statement when Cloud himself...

So, what do you think the LTD conclusion is? (Round 2)

This isn't the first time I've seen this being claimed in an LTD and it always leaves me wondering how a fairy tale notion like "interpretations are never wrong" ever came about. Interpretations can be wrong. There's even a handy word in the English language that's ready to be used whenever an...

So, what do you think the LTD conclusion is? (Round 2)

Interesting. I had no idea that Aerith was supposed to be from Tokyo or Osaka (although I have to admit I would have found it very novel to hear Aerith speaking like an Osakan). The meetings don't even stop there. Following this line of logic, FFVII is a veritable smorgasbord of sex and...

Ah, I see. It's inconsistent with their ship and all their ship-related arguments, essays and dreams; therefore, invalid.

What is it in the CCU that's so inconsistent that it warrants complete invalidation as a source?

So, what do you think the LTD conclusion is? (Round 2)

Are you talking about this thread specifically? As I recall, the last time this came up in the thread, it was "Aerith's church" (with added emphasis on 'Aerith') vs. "together with his family and friends" as his Promised Land. Reminds me... was there something in the Dismantled book about...

    Faith v. 3.0 (Cloti Club)

I think Sophie Ellix-Bextor's 'Today the Sun's On Us' is a fitting song for Tifa and Cloud just before AC/ACC begins, when Cloud's falling into his depression. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zanTZorgbe8

So, what do you think the LTD conclusion is? (Round 2)

Wouldn't count. The woman thinking of Cloud as her koibito was never named, and since our current standard of proof is that we need specific mention of who, what and/or where in order to conclude romance, we can't simply assume that the woman in the Lifestream was Aerith.

You mean that her feelings in one sentence was referring to those feelings mentioned in the sentence that immediately preceded it? GTFO of here with your elitist reading comprehension.

    Tron Legacy

Blasphemy! :rage: I loved Tron. Then again, I was, like 9 or 10 when I first watched it. At that age, anything with pretty lights and cool motorbikes/spaceships/werewolves/etc. got an immediate thumbs up from me. :D Loved the Tron 2.0 game for the PC. I hope that there'll be an update to the...
