With the impending switch to vB Yop wanted new banners and a layout and other such things, so here can be the thread where you can all see and review what has been done.

And I don't know am I the only one doing anything or are other people planning on giving it a go? Doesn't matter to me either way.

Anyway first up it was requested that I make a linkback button. Here is what I came up with:

As soon as I CBA to get the other stuff done I'll post it up. But I am supposed to be coloring BBM's Tifa sketch! D:

Also, those are great justice, clear text and whatnot. Although the image itself isn't very clear on what it's supposed to show due to the overlay effect.

lol Yup. The last one has a shadow on the bottom if you still don't see it. Subtle, yes, but I feel it makes it pop more.

Also the background is a screen shot of the Lifestream footage from AC. :monster:

Yeah I got that, it's just that it looks somewhat different (i.e. less identifiable / iconic) due to the diagonal lines and shiny effects.

Tennyo, I like the idea of the glossy effect, but I don't believe it works with that icon.

The gloss interferes with the light effects of the Lifestream background picture.

I just got an idea, Tennyo - tell me what you think: a black background, with 'The Lifestream.net' in white bordered letters; the lifestream background actually being the letters (fill/color) instead of the icon's background?

Perhaps that would look good with the gloss effect?

That looks more recognizable, although it's still got a load of small details that quickly blur its contents. Still though, it in itself looks pretty neat.

Just that there's a load of wavy lines, and many wavy lines make an unclear subject. I was going to say 'try zooming out if you have a browser that scales imagery', but it actually looks more clear as you zoom out, so that wouldn't be an issue, :monster:

All in all, besides me talking about it a lot, I quite like it. Let me know which version you prefer, and I'll see if I can compile an 'affiliates' page with instructions and prerequisites of affiliation.

Speaking of, what prerequisites do we have for those? Minimal half our visitors or something? 70%+?

Try zooming out as in making the image smaller? lol But yeah, glad to hear you like it. I was more partial to the third one myself but if the glossiness is an issue then either the first or fourth one is fine.
