1. I can disable the image / flash ads if need be (I think), but the big ones also bring in the most money,
. Just set it to text only.
2. Epilepsy is a risk of the internet.
3. Donators don't get access to the staff section - there's nothing of interest there, for example, besides us occasionally discussing reports and warnings.
4. Upgrade isn't currently in our planning, as I haven't had a report of poor performance or errors in a while, and this site isn't getting enough revenue through donations alone at the moment to afford better hosting, unless it can be found at the same price. If that's the case however, I've paid for a year of hosting at Bluehost, and throwing the remaining months away would be a waste.
5. We do not have n00dz of Quex or anyone in the staff section, sadly :/.
6. Bexy lost the argument, as dictated by Godwin's Law.
7. Excruciating dragons is not a synonym for vaginal discharge, as far as I'm aware.
8. You'll get medical rights by being a member of this forum - send me a postcard with your name, address, n00dz and stamps for a return package, and I'll send you a few dozen painkiller pills.
9. There's no minimum payment for ad removal, although the current donation form only goes as low as $10,-. Which is a ridiculously low amount, btw, especially with the current conversion rates,
.
10. Nobody that donated will / should see ads.
11. Ads aren't permanent just yet,
. I'll have to see how much revenue they produce over the next few days.
12. Exclamation marks are overrated,
.
13. Seriously, what.
14. Opening up access to the staff section would most likely lead to arguments and such over past given warnings and suspensions, thus, no staff access. If there was stuff of some importance in there, Aaron would've probably leaked it by now,
. If you want, I could give a rundown of the last several threads in there, if you're really worried that we're plotting something to irritate you guys.
's all for now. Text ads only for the moment, but I would like to add that the fullsized image ads sometimes paid out $1,- for just one click, depending on the ad.
I could also make it so that unregistered members get the full thing, and registered / logged in members only get text ads, if you like. It'd probably not do the revenue any good, seeing that most pageviews (and thus ad views) are generated by registered members. But eh, if you're really bothered with 'em, you'd probably be more than willing to open up your wallets like those that already did (and some of 'em gratuitously, at that) and have 'em removed,
.
We are trying to make this site work, after all.
