I actually have a desire to read the full manuscript of LOVELESS now...since I'm being confirmed that Final Fantasy VII IS Loveless. And it's been quoted several times, obviously...so the full text of it may hold some secrets revealed of the FFVII world...

But back on the subject!
I saw that The Planet knew that it's mortal warriors ( FFVII cast) had suffered, and she maybe wanted to show them a small token of thanks after what had happened. So she would send a sentry in her likeness to call up memories that the team hadn't really come to entirely peaceful terms with. I.E Cloud and Sephiroth..The Tsviets and Vincent etc etc etc. you get my point, no? Lay the past down to move on. Part of me believes that things weren't entirely resolved in AC...

The dressphere/EX-mode type thing actually sounds more beliveable, imho.

My brain died around the part where they preceived Cloud to be female. I can almost picture the poor fictional man rolling around in agony.

If/When they do make the final installment of the Compilation, what do you want to see in it, storyline wise?

I thought they could explore a few towns featured in Crisis Core like Banora ( even if it was destroyed) or Modeoheim. And like someone said, do more with Argento!! Also, wrap up the fates of the remaining BC Turks. And I pray to the mighty Eidolons that they do more with poor Lucrecia! I loved her character so much. T,T And she always gets the short end of the stick from all the Vincent fangirls....[/endrant]

But at the top of my storyline list, they had better sell cloud off to SOMEBODY! I don't care who at this point, but the never-dying Aerith/Tifa debate has been driving me past insanity.

Genesis is setting off to protect the Planet, though exactly what that means is hard to say. He could end up acting as a menace to mankind, like the Weapons, or he could end up being a hero.

There's really not enough information to theorize about what's going to happen next, except that it's probably only a matter of time until Sephiroth returns again, that a threat is likely imminent, since Genesis is awake, and that he is going to do something with Weiss' body.

As for the Ex-Turks, I suppose we have a decent chance of finding out more about them in Case of the Turks, when the new On the Way to a Smile book comes out with ACC.

Destiny Failed is a blog making fun of the people who post on the Cloud and Aerith forums, whose website is called Destiny Fulfilled. It can be funny at times, actually, like the John Madden bit.

Maybe they could pull a Metal Gear Solid 2 on us and have us start playing as Genesis only to be replaced by Cloud & Friends or vice versa.

(Probably not of course, how well that would work would depend on the type of game. Also, if Square wanted to keep it a secret they'd have a hard time showing their 6 minute epics of a trailer...although MGS usually has those, I don't remember the trailers for 2 though)

I don't understand Genesis's character completely (in short due to laziness) but I can see him continuing to strive for acceptance from Minerva. But what threats could there be for him to fend off? Well, it could be that Genesis is told by the planet that using fossil fuels long enough will damage the planet. Considering the planet's minimum size and the apparent quick growth of technology in FFVII (Genetics, mobile phones, gliders and what-not) we would have Genesis destroying oil rigs OMFG!
AVALANCHE: "We must stop him, he is ruining our source of fuel!"
Genesis: "But I'm the environmentalist! I'm the good guy!"
AVALANCHE: "...Woah, dejá vu."

Ok, I'm out of ideas for Genesis. In other aspects, I'd like to see the following:
1) Aeris meeting Minerva. If Minerva had a moment of doubt in humanity, Aeris would then act as the spokesperson for the humans.
2) A global spiritual awakening which creates a new generation of Cetras, thus resolving the issue of how the humans will live close to the planet without fossil fuels or lousy steam engines.
(My own ridiculous theory is that Marlene is probably the closest thing to a living Cetra there is)
3) A lifestream event which brings together many of the past characters, in an FFVII-ending-style climax, around the time of the final battle.

I hope we'll hear about a new title within a year or so.

No, Weiss was only possessed after the events of DOC Online, when he performed a SND (the same ability that Shelke possesses) to discover a way to deactivate the chip that the Restrictors put in his brain.

When Weiss was navigating the World Wide Network, Hojo's digital counsciousness entered his mind and took control of it.

My own selfish wish for the final installation of the compilation is for some sort of resolution for her regarding Sephiroth. If they have no further development between her and Vincent, I'm fine with that, but let the poor woman make things up to her son. She is, after all, the only person is the whole damn FF7 universe that loves him.

I also like the idea of lost friends being summons. And I don't just mean Zack, Aeris, etc. I want to see Jessie/Biggs/Wedge, Dyne, Veld, Gast and Ifalna, etc. Long live the minor characters!

I haven't got any great ideas right now, but I doubt Genesis will be the main protagonist. I think Square will play it safe and keep Cloud on the podium. Didn't they say a little while ago they still had unfinished business with his character? Maybe he's got some more therapy to go through?

I would like a mature storyline, but I fear we'll see more ancient summonz that destroy the world and what have you.

I guess something that doesn't feel like it's been written for teenage fangirls. Some of the stuff in the Compilation is so transparent, it's kind of insulting.

We have characters like Genesis: Oh, he lives through poetry. How deep. Oh, he's holding an apple. How symbolic.

And don't get me started (ad nauseam) on turning Cloud into a pussy for the sake of character development.

I'd like a story that is dramatic but not emo, deep but not spoonfed, and something that doesn't feel the need to connect every single dot in the FFVII mythos.
