MUAHAHAHAHA!!!! I knew I'd be hearing from you two. (I was hoping that I wouldn't see a post from one of you pop up as I was posting my reply. xD ).
I did find it slightly odd that the tone of the trailer was VERY much a "core MCU" feel, but all of Scott's reactions felt like they were more in line with GotG's style of tongue-in-cheek, because I'm not sure if the film is going for a more or less serious tone because of it. Aside from that, the actual bits that seemed to showcase the film itself look pretty fantastic.

This is my main problem with this trailer. Trying way too hard to be serious even though most likely the movie is gonna end up more on the funny side. Made it seem generic.
With GotG they pretty much nailed the tone of the movie. You knew from the beginning what you were in for.
This seems more in line with the Iron Man 3 and Thor TDW trailers that seemed to suggest a darker and more serious tone and then the movies actually ended up having more humor than their predecessors.

They're doing two prelude comics for this, like they did with GotG. I quite liked the first one, which was released today, and how it sets up where Hank fits into the MCU timeline. I'd recommend picking it up. (I'll make a proper thread for this in the comics section later today).
