Batman: Arkham Knight (& other PS4 titles)

Am I the only one hoping that the batmobile won't be as integral to the game as much as they're advertising? Nothing they've shown of it has been especially interesting, aside from being rocketed out of it.

The Arkham Knight's design is an intentional taunt at Batman: http://gamingbolt.com/batman-arkham...ham-knights-helmet-is-a-taunt-aimed-at-batman

Also: Commissioner Gordon looks amazing.

The only character that comes to mind that would go that far to get to Batman is Ra's Al Gul.

Other than that I can't think of anyone with that level of cunning and tactics to bring the Batman down... or even try. Tim Drake is the only "tactical genius" of the Robin Family that even comes close to Bruce himself (Jason Todd was an idiot by comparison).

I'm still not used to this "new Scarecrow".

He just seems so much more cunning than when we fought him in Arkham Asylum.

Well this was lovely to wake up to.

Also, the first Arkham Knight comic is out and well worth reading the Arkham Knight's introduction is pretty intense.

Has there been an explanation for Scarecrow's sudden change in personality yet?

Sudden change in personality?

Yeah, I mean, in the original Arkham Asylum game, Crane was a bit of a slinky dorky, nerdy doctor who could hardly do anything to Batman as it was.

Sure he was doing stuff to him via the fear toxin, but really he wasn't nearly as frightening as he is now.

Even the voice is different.

Only thing I can think of is that they're pulling another "Black Mask", only this time around it's Scarecrow who is really someone else.

Well, to start with, his attempt to break Batman with Fear in Asylum was interrupted by the fact that he got attacked (and apparently severely mauled) by Killer Croc.

That attack why I figure that his face is severely injured to the point of looking skeletal, and his voice is more ragged, rather than most of it being hidden by a mask. (Starts at 0:27)

Although he sounded a bit more like his new version when he was all Fear Toxin'd:

Even during the whole of Arkham City he was in the planning stages of gathering resources for a large-scale retaliation directly at Gotham - since the city falling is Batman's biggest fear. I figure if anyone from the series had a serious personal bone to pick with Batman, it's Crane because of his injuries and obsession with researching on a subject who's directly overcome his fear toxin.

It also looks like he's employing the same Fear Toxin-based fighting tactics as he did before.

Aside from making the alliances to directly attack Gotham on a large scale (which is an opportunity to expand his research to the largest possible sample size), which was established during the second game, I don't see him as being too different from how he was in Arkham Asylum.

That being said, he's been shown as still operating behind the scenes in the comics so far, but if anything specific comes up, I'll drop it in here.
