Nostalgia has about zero significance to me when I voted Tifa. I could write up an entire essay/rant/novel on why Tifa is one of the most kick ass females in the entire franchise, really.

I liked Fang. One of the few characters I could stomach in FF13. She's got an amazing design, she's gorgeous and she's also a BAMF.

But she couldn't do it the way Tifa did. Not for me. No FF character got me as emotional as Tifa did. That's why she's got such a lasting impression with me. I just didn't get the same vibe with Fang and nostalgia glasses or not, I'm not changing my opinion just because it isn't cool.

Tifa all the way. I'll admit I'm not overly familiar with Fang, having never finished my XIII playthrough, but from what I've seen of her she seems like an ok character. But shes no Tifa.

There has been a very small amount of "poo-flinging", but it has been far outweighed by interesting, thoughtful debate. The Cloud vs Celes battle in particular has it in abundance. I've enjoyed reading it and I hope people have enjoyed taking part. Even if they have had to make difficult decisions, at least it's making them think about the characters
