Community idea; play FF7 at the exact same fucking time.

So, it's been a while since a lot of us have played FFVII, right? This won't be the official topic for this since I just thought of it (this topic is to brainstorm and bounce around ideas), but how about a community event where we'd start a new game of FFVII at roughly the same time, and every so often, I'd set up checkpoints at certain parts of the game where we'd discuss;

-Our current team and our thoughts on it
-Our thoughts on the part of the game the checkpoint takes place on (I'll pick some good segments of the game to have a checkpoint on)
-Our playstyle and Materia setup
-How we've been doing; what sidequests or something like that we've been doing
-How the particular checkpoint in the original game measures up to the newer interpretations of the same event/location/concept that the Compilation has cooked up.

And so on. I think this would be a good idea to generate some FFVII talk from all of us while at the same time playing a game we all enjoy. Of course even though we start at the same time, due to life, pace, and individual progress we wouldn't go at the same pace exactly, but anyone would be free to jump in at any time to contribute. It would sort of like kinda be like that FF13 walkthrough topic I had a while ago, but this time everyone would be involved.


Ideas? Thoughts? Comments?

I don't even have my PS2 set up at the moment. I don't even know for sure where it is, and I'll probably need a new PS1 memory card because I'm pretty sure all my slots are used up. However I could probably be persuaded to find it, set it up, get a new memory card, and participate in this.

Sounds cool to me. It hasn't been as long as I normally wait between play throughs, but I'm willing to go for it. On one condition. The second we're done we MUST continue with FFVI. I still got my save file sitting around waiting to pick back up.
