Same. I would have thought it was more awesome if I didn't see the previews of it first. I hope in his next previews he doesn't show like 90% of the scenes. :\

I think we need the Matrix soundtrack back, that was what got me captivated intially because it tends to be so fast paced and epic. The music was weaker for the more recent episodes. The only one I liked was III with Devil's Never Cry from the DMC 3 ST.

I also want to know where on earth he's going with the plot.

What are DoA going to do with Tifa, why was Hitomi pissed at her being beaten up and I hope Tifa isn't turned into a damzel in distress just for the sake of it. Hmmm.

Personally, I don't give a shit about the plot. Without voice acting, he can't properly convey a story.

Somehow I'm guessing he'll do something fucked up like make MECHA-TIFA, DOMINATRIX OF YUOR S00L! and fuck shit up.

I think I liked it better when there were epic, better coordinated fight scenes in Dead Fantasies I and II. Watching Tifa come in at the last moment to save Yuna and Rikku's arses while Hitomi, Ayane, and Kasumi pretty much dished it out to them brought out the tomboyish fangirl in me.

But to me the way he laid out his stories specifically through flashbacks in III through IV felt highly convoluted and misplaced. I could hardly keep up with this (in my opinion) poorly executed way of storytelling. Relying on fragmented phrases kind of made it distracting for me to focus on the combat (which was significantly more drawn out and a tad more awkward, meaning the way he coordinated the movements) AND the storyline at the same time.

If he finds a way to balance that in future installments then I'll be much more pleased. As it stands the latest installments were at best, average to me because of the aforementioned reasons.

I admit they were a little more robotesque than usual from Monty, with regards to the arms in particular.

I was also a bit miffed about what he was doing with Tifa in the fight scenes. Sure it's kinda cool but it's as if he was like "hey this choreography is making her look too badass, let's fuck her over in the next few episodes". Just quite a sudden change of pace if you think about it that way.


Also does anyone else actually want Oum to finish off what was happening in ROAD 3? Just wondering.

I'd prefer watching real women dance, not polygons. There is something polygons can do that real people can't though (or at least so far directors have failed to produce), and that's crazy battle choreography, so no apologies there.

I actually liked the 2D animation he did just as much as the 3D he got into. Even though it was probably his earlier attempts, they took themselves much less seriously than some of his 3D work (lol could you believe less serious)

The person who owns the account basically had the account all devoted to DF, with Monty's face as the wallpaper for their profile. Monty asked them to remove his face (not the vids, he doesn't care if other people host his vids), and the person flamed him for pretending to be Monty. Monty showed them that vid as proof and now the dude is acting like it was a gift made special for him. LOL
