I'd rather a Play Arts Kai like last time rather than a static statue (the Adam Jensen PAKs for Human Revolution are notoriously rarer than the evil bad guys), but still cool stuff I guess

Well to be fair it's not 100% confirmed but it kind of is, at around the 5 minute mark he goes "fans are super mad they haven't seen Malik in any of the Mankind Divided stuff yet... time will tell, time will tell " so like... it's totally confirmed XD.

I liked Jock in the first game and I liked Malik in the last one. Like, who are you in these games without your pilot?

Totally! Malik's probably my favourite character from the game tbh.

Her sidequest in Hengsha was really cool! It was pretty tough to keep her alive during the later ambush, though.
Personally, like for all games I'm sure to buy long before release, I'll be on the media blackout for Mankind Divided.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided's ridiculous pre-order scheme gets completely scrapped.

Who knew negative feedback could actually make a difference nowadays . The anti-preorder mindset has been growing pretty steadily in the last year so SEs absolutely awful pre-order program wasn't gonna go off without a hitch. It's just very surprising that they actually completely went back on it.

I'm really glad about this decision, mainly because it's fair, but also because it was causing a bit of a negative publicity shitstorm that I don't want anywhere near this franchise. Kudos to them for actually listening to their fans.

That said, Human Revolution was one of the few games which I never regretted pre-ordering for a minute. In fact, I regret not pre-ordering the physical collector's edition instead of the digital one, but that's all hindsight.

It was a silly scheme (and a tiered-preorder structure that may be distinctly Japanese and a little out-of-touch with its target audience), but I do hope for decent merch and bonuses from preordering it.

I'll be getting the collector's edition with this. Also I've never regretted pre-ordering a game tbh, the only games I pre-order are the ones I know I'll play to death anyway even if they're shit. FF, Mass Effect, Uncharted etc.

I don't think I'll have funds to preorder this game, unfortunately, but yeah, every game I've ever preordered is something I know I'll love and won't regret. So like.... Final Fantasy games...
