May 15th, yeah. Last weekend's public beta was the final beta test to give the servers a good load testing. As it stands, it seems D3 is a fully online game, except... well, you can play in your own instance of the game
. I played a few public games, which went well enough, just don't expect to catch much of the story as most players will just rush through it (as they already know it and, truth be told, outside of the CGI movies, the story's kinda tl;dr and told in an uninspiring / not very immersive fashion).
Am I the only one that, at least based on the beta, doesn't see where they put the 5 (or whatever it's been) years of development into? I mean sure, the animations and little details in the environments (like monsters crawling over walls and shit) are nice, but... yeah.
I guess we'll have to see,
