Than to think that Cloud and Tifa may have had some physical encounter under the Highwind, ESPECIALLY after what the creator's said the envisioned that scene to be.

It's good to read the timelines for a reason. Yes. Cloud and Aerith were only together for at most 3 weeks, and that's at most. Its more like 2 to 2 and a half weeks I'd say. FFVII's adventure is around 2 months long.

They could be considered the main the couple, both obviously had feelings for each other. Tifa would've jumped at the chance but didn't since she was rather shy in the matter. Also the fact that Cloud spent 2 years greiving over Aerith's death may (hint of sarcasm) have something to do with this.

You guys took me WAY too seriously as you often do. I was in no way trying to disrupt the canon, which was what I said at the first post. I was saying, within logical bounds of thinking, could the two have had a short relationship off screen that they didn't tell anyone about.

Aerith and Cloud never had sex, and I don't know where in the game that is even hinted at. If them 'being alone together' suggests that they had sex, then Cloud and Tifa have done it many, many times. They shared a prison cell together. A night underneath the Highwind. Cloud's "Next to you, who wouldn't" line, etc.

Er, but this is about Aerith, not Tifa. :B No, no, and no. I'd imagine you'd want to actually get to know someone before you slept with them, and Aerith and Cloud had no time to do so in the depth that others have.

Evidently the cloti clerith rivalry is a more touchy topic than I see it. I'm not even necessarily saying that they had sex, it could've just been a casual kiss. You didn't have to get all up in my grill. You could've just said yes or no and provide your opinion on why.

I think my opinions on why cloud and aerith liked each other will mirror those supported in the LTD debate. I'm not assuming to know anything about what Nomura and Nojima were thinking when they developed Cloud and Aerith's complex relationship, I'm simply saying what I think based on what I've seen from playing the multiple compilation titles, and following the journey of the characters.

Yes, which you haven't provided us with, which is why everyone was asking. Following the journey of the characters can't make your conclusion to Cloud and Aerith having sex, as everything about it would have to be offscreen.

I know there are some authors who themselves do hold the view that you can interpret their story in different equally valid ways. But I think they've just never seen what fangirls are capable of.
