You put in story mode, multiplayer, all of the cutscenes move lists and animations and you'll start to need cuts in a few areas man.

I'm speaking in general terms. He's got an octaslash (which Sephiroth already has), a punching move, and Apocalypse (although if they are going that route they might as well just put in Genesis). But really, the way he attacks with a big sword identical to Cloud's, uses the same accessories, dresses the same as the boy, and draws from similar materia and summon spells.

They both swing around big swords, and use materia, but that's about it. Kinda shits on both Cloud and Zack to say they're just the Ken and Ryu of FFVII.

I like Zack. If I had to chose between the two, I'd keep him in rather than Cloud (and that's not a knock on Cloud either). But if I could chose both, I wouldn't. I'd save my space for someone from a different game or job class.

Well if you like Zack, ask for Zack! They fight differently enough to have differing builds and attacks. They wouldn't have to have the same combos or attacks at all. Just because they both use the Buster Sword doesn't mean they're identical.

Zack is the happy go lucky ladies man. Cloud is the reserved calm and cool warrior. They both have the same fighting style but with their own variations and original techniques.

Speaking of Story, I hope it's better than the first game, which is made up of people just running around on boring backdrops having semi vague boring conversations and pointing swords at each other, between fights.

Just put the damn game on 2 UMDs you assholes. You should have done it with Crisis Core too.

Of course you'd need all the characters on both. But you could split off multiplayer and skirmish mode at least. Put the story all on one.

She looks like she did in the AC render almost spot on. You know, except for the lower poly count.

Herp. Ryu and Ken parallel Zack and Cloud.

Ken is Zack, and Cloud is Ryu. They both are very similar but different at the same time, just like Ken and Ryu.

Putting Zack in the game when he's so similar to Cloud in appearance and fighting style isn't a good idea either. Regardless of how different they are.

Putting Zack in the game wouldn't really provide any sort of unique gameplay experience, and tbfh I don't think he's important enough to the overarching plot of FF7 to play a big part in Dissidia.

He's important to Cloud's past, but in the larger conflict he's not really significant at all.

Ya I don't get why just because Zack fights with a big sword like Cloud means he would be the same character in battle. Like Mako pointed out, that's where their similarities end.

Clouds attacks in Dissida are a mix of his limit breaks and new attacks made specifically for Dissidia. There is no reason at all they couldn't do that for Zack, he's got plenty of Limit breaks from CC to use (such as chain slash, apocalypse, rush assault) and then they could put in a few magic/materia attacks, maybe add in some new attacks for the game that reflect some kind of SOLDIER fighting style (which CC unfortunately failed to deliver on). Sure 2 of Zack's Limit breaks are already used by Seph and Cloud respectively but there are plenty of attacks that overlap characters in Dissidia (Kuja, Terra and Kefka all have their own Ultima) No reason they couldn't give Zack his own spin on an Octoslash and meteorain. They could make quite a different fighter than Cloud, no problem. Other than the fact that Cloud uses a weapion of the same size, there's no erason to believe they are the same fighters in battle.

Uh. No. Zack didn't play a direct part in any of FF7. You have to actually find the one cutscene that elaborates on his role in Cloud's past. You can skip it unintentionally.

Zack does nothing in FF7. He's ultimately a bit player.

Maybe if there were like a bazillion slots to fill Zack would be nice, but seeing as how the more essential main series characters need to step in first, Zack's gotta take a back seat to the main folks.
