ForceStealer
Double Growth
Well that hardly seems fair (And killing Garland at least twice was in reference to FF1, but your point stands)
Oh yeah, I play Vaan In Final Fantasy!! This is my 2nd game voicing him
OMG what.
Vaan isn't Vayne's nemesis. Ashe is his direct rival.
WE DON'T NEED ANYMORE BLONDE HAIRED PRETTY BOYS
2. Ashe had one conversation with him. They ain't rivals. Certainly not direct rivals.
You don't need to directly interact with someone face-to-face to rival them.
Ashe is the true hero of FF12. She's the driving force of the plot, most of the antagonists concern themselves with her, the protagonists are allied together to help her, and as such most of the story centers around her. She should have been in over Vaan three times over.
1. Vayne hasn't been confirmed yet. Whereever that twitter was, nobody can find it again.
2. Ashe had one conversation with him. They ain't rivals. Certainly not direct rivals.
Hope, really? And you really think X was better voice-acted than XIII, Dac? Vanille and Hope were pretty bad, but everyone else was good - with both Lightning and Sazh being excellent.
There is a single, shining glimmer of hope....Edner said he's voicing Vaan in a new game, he didn't specifically say Dissidia 012.....oh please, please please. *crosses fingers*.
A tiny, probably futile hope, but it is hope.
Herp derp.
Ashe's main goal is taking Vayne down, one of Vayne's main goals was eliminating her as a threat. Either by bringing her to his side or by killing her.
There is a direct confrontation between these two characters REGARDLESS of how many scenes they have together.
They are rivals.
I was making a sandwich and that thought occurred to me.There is a single, shining glimmer of hope....Edner said he's voicing Vaan in a new game, he didn't specifically say Dissidia 012.....oh please, please please. *crosses fingers*.

I'd rather have Balthier, but Ashe pretty much is the central character. Vaan is a POV character, he's not suppose to be important. Like, Nick from Great Gatsby or something. He's the tag along kid that gets to see and tell the story. He gets to become his own main character in later games because of the influence of XII, but in game- he's just suppose to be "that kid"Ashe is the true hero of FF12. Now I'm eating the sandwich and praying it's true because that means someone else in Dissidia and probably another FFXII game.
Ashe was the best pawn of Occuria in their war against Vayne and Venat. I don't see how that establishes a rivalry with Vayne.
So anyway!

PS: Yay, Tifa's in! <3 (I know we knew that, but I was glad to see it anyway)
That..has nothing to do with her personal conflict with Vayne. They are both leading factions in direct opposition of each other. Ashe has a personal grudge against Vayne. Her main goal is to overthrow Vayne and his ilk.
Vayne needed her out of the way because of the threat she posed to his goals, and went to some pretty great lengths to snuff out both her and her allies. The occuria thing sort of reinforces it, but isn't as significant.
Isn't as significant? It's Vayne's sole reason for doing anything and it leads Ashe throughout their journey. Not to mention that all that would mean nothing in Dissidia.
It's not the main reason they become rivals. The sole act of Vayne bringing down Dalmasca, for whatever reason is the catalyst in the animosity from Ashe and co. and the only reason she becomes a thorn in Vayne's side, forcing him to take action against her.
