Well I wouldn't say it was perfect but I did enjoy it. It really makes you hate yourself though
Lousy humans.
It was such a different take on aliens coming here. Usually they're just good or bad... I don't think they're ever been victimized before. So good job on a unique take, that's for sure.
The beginning was a little creepy with the nose bleeds and the fingernails and the vomiting... but what can you do? That stuff doesn't really bother me, but it's not like I really want to see it either.
I was a little bored at first, but once Wikis met Chris the movie seemed to pick up a lot. The whole time I was watching I was so afraid they'd kill Chris and do this dramatic "You must save my son!" thing. I was really glad they didn't. Also I was pissed as hell at Wikis for almost betraying Chris but I'm glad that worked out.
You pretty much knew Wikis was going to side with the aliens after the interviews in the beginning, but it was still pretty neat.
Then there was a lot of people exploding and for some reason that never gets old
At one point I remember thinking that I didn't want them to kill Wikis, but if they did, I honestly just wanted Chris and his son to survive... guess I got that
I kinda wished more of the aliens escaped though.
I also didn't make the connection in the beginning with the thing falling out of the ship being what they were trying to fix underground. Then it was like OH I get it, that WAS important.
I don't usually like movies that leave a lot of things unresolved but... well I think it's pretty obvious what's going to happen next. I kinda wish there had been a timeline to show how long it had been since the mother ship left. ... or was there?
It's also interesting how a lot of the stuff isn't explained and it just is. There's no explanation as to how the aliens and humans communicate, just that they know each others language... how long did it take to learn? And where did the ship come from anyway? How'd they get themselves into that mess?... it's funny but I didn't think of any of that until the movie was over... and truthfully, I don't really care
