I'm mostly excited because she seems good and it seems like (from The Doctor saying they need to get back to the future in 2017), that there's a possibility that she might be from a non-modern day, which would be a welcome change and something that the show hasn't had in a while.

Managed to get all 9 seasons on DVD for $99. Binging them now.

I forgot how much I loved Eccleston's Doctor. I still can't choose between Ten and Eleven for my favorite, but Nine's take on the character is so well done that I wish they had delayed getting Tennent so that we could have had more of him.

Loving the cinematography. It all looks very crisp.

A really good trailer. Love that bit at the end with the 'hellmouth' talk, lol.

Should there be a split thread for Class? In any event, the first two episodes are available on BBC Iplayer (though you'll need some region unlocking for elsewhere).

That was pretty damn decent!

I'm completely with everyone else on the horrendous opening theme to Class. I doubt even 'teens' like it. The closing credits theme is miles better.

As for Class itself ... I was pleasantly surprised. That was a really good introduction to the world and the setup of the characters. Ram is definitely the most intriguing so far, but the others have a lot of potential too. I love the situation with Ms Quill and that she isn't your usual setup. Love the Dragonball Z Vegeta anti-hero vibe thing going on. And I absolutely love that there has been collateral damage already, and lasting repercussions and effects, rather than a formulaic wiping of the board before the next episode.

The Doctor's appearance was amazing, and a massive grin to my face at the old Doctor having rescued the Prince and Ms Quill.

Aside from Ram and Quill, I'm intrigued by April as well ... as she definitely has a dark side to herself just waiting to come out. I think we're all going to be shocked by her development during this.

There was of course some issues though. As someone else mentioned, for some reason, they are giving Tanya some really stilted dialogue. You can even see the actress trying to get her head around it, but it's just not working. This 'smart but geeky social outcast' character has potential, but it could really go downhill if they don't play it right.

And God damn slow down on the social commentary. Yeah, there was just too much FORCED into certain scenes. "Oh you would listen to me if I was calling you fat on instagram" ... or something like that. That was just AWFUL. Please stop doing that writers.

But yeah, the show has potential, and it seems really good, and the characters are growing already. I am a little disappointed at some of the casualties that has been mentioned, but I'm hoping we'll develop a core for Coal Hill.

I don't know if anyone else has been keeping up with Class, but I'm really enjoying it. They have a great cast of characters here, and the unfolding storylines over the past few episodes have been really interesting.

Yes, there is a little too much 'let's stop and discuss our feelings in the middle of a crisis', but aside from that, it's really going well, and the character dynamics are excellent. Miss Quill continues to excel as a character, and it looks like we have a whole episode dedicated to her coming up next.

Can't we have Doctors regenerate at the end of the previous season and then have the Christmas special be their first ala Eccleston and Tennant?
