There are rumors circulating around the internet of signs for filming for the 50th Anniversary that may shine some light on just WHO it is that David Tennant will be playing and, overall, what the plot may entail.

Apparently, there are signs up at the location used for the Powell Estate indicating that filming will begin there soon. If this is true, then that means it would be a past version of Rose, since in the parallel world her and Jackie live in Pete's mansion.

In theory, this would also mean it would have to be the real Tenth Doctor, not the human one.

By extension, MULTI-DOCTOR SPECIAL?!

I can't confirm if this is true or not, but that's the word on the street.

It may be that there's a clue in there, but there are additional factors on it likely being a production title:

1) It's Moffat.
2) They've been known to change titles in season for big episodes.
3) They haven't even released/settled on the official title of the Season 7 finale.
4) It's Moffat.

Anywho, before I forget,

Spoiler: thoughts on Bells of Saint John (spoiler tag)

I thought this was a fun episode. It didn't completely blow my socks off, but it was enjoyable. I think Oswin/Clara seems like a lot of fun. I don't know whether or not it is too early to pass judgment, but I think I'm really going to like her. She has great chemistry with Eleven so far.

It was rather sad at the end, though, when the people were reset to the "factory setting." Especially how that one woman was apparently a little girl when the Great Intelligence took her. Poor thing.

But still, a new enemy? Not sure how I feel. Yes, yes, it's a Classic villain, but I never felt like the show was quite done with the Silence yet. I wasn't satisfied with how all that went down, so I hope Moffat isn't done with them. Unless maybe they are aligned with the GI? That could be cool.

And yes, Wifi can't do that, but, as I do believe Aaron stated before in the thread, the episode did remain consistent with the more fantastical ground rules it had laid out for itself, which is really all I care about.

Also, people are obsessing over the girl in the shop who gave Clara the number for the TARDIS. I personally think it was probably River, but a lot of people seem to think it could be Rose. What do you guys think?

Also, could someone explain to me why the bells were so important that they were the name of the episode? The only purpose they served seemed to be to indicate that the phone was ringing on the TARDIS. Did I miss something?

So all in all, I enjoyed it. My cousin, however, did not. I was with her on Sunday and we were eating brunch, and she asked me how I liked it but I hadn't seen it yet at that time. She told me that she thought it was stupid, which is too bad, but the way she described it was kind of hilarious. She said, "It was like Moffat took a pen and went..." after which she half turned in her chair, glanced up and the ceiling and looked around with her eyes, all while mimicking scribbling a pen on the table.

Oh well.

We’re delighted to confirm that the Zygons are returning to Doctor Who for the show’s 50th anniversary special.

Aside from flashbacks these malevolent shape-shifters have only appeared once before, threatening Earth in the Fourth Doctor adventure, Terror of the Zygons. Despite the fact that their solitary outing was over thirty years ago they remain a popular old enemy and in the 2010 episode, The Pandorica Opens, they were amongst the massed aliens said to be gathering above Stonehenge. Later, in The Power of Three, we learnt that Zygons had one of their ships under the Savoy Hotel in 1890 and apparently replaced half the staff with imposters! But this time they really are back…

We’ve already confirmed that in the anniversary special Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman will be joined by the returning David Tennant and Billie Piper. Screen legend John Hurt is also in the cast and earlier today we revealed that Joanna Page (Gavin & Stacey, The Syndicate) would also be appearing in this eagerly anticipated adventure.
