But that's intelligent and actually interesting
Who said this topic needed to be intelligent? It was perfectly interesting talking about beautiful men.
Girls are all just secretly lesbians. That's why they are attracted to effeminate men. Their subconsciousness mistakes them for girls.
They are all lesbians.
And we men always knew it.
I'm a lesbian?
Butt pirate?
Present on all counts. asl?

I don't get the effeminate thing either. Not the japanese cultural aspect, but the reason why so many women are drawn to men who look like women. Is it because they're less threatening? Perceived to be more sensitive? What is it?
You generalized, get over it. You can't deny it now, you never once specified, so shut the fuck up, and get your head out of you ass nancy.Way to go at misreading shit, Bacon. I never said ALL OF JAPANESE WOMEN like bishonen. Get your eyes off Ms. Martian and read, motherfucker
What's to discuss? It's a fact anyone who hasn't been living in a hole in the ground has known, for the last.... over 9000 years.
Okay! Let's make this a discussion about the aesthetics and cultural representation of Japan then, rather than playing Captain Obvious!
You could probably pin the bishounen aesthetic back to the the J-Rock bands of the 70's and 80's and also visual kei. Or scratch that, you could even find instances of it back during the Heian Period. Suffice to say, Japan has always had a fondness for Japanese men who's beauty transcended the social construct of gender. It's just how they are. To quote a cliche phrase, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
