Evangelion 3.0 coming in fall 2012

I know there's a thread for the series already but this deserved to be announced as loudly as possible

we finally have confirmation that the third Rebuild of Evangelion film will be coming to Japanese cinemas in the Fall of next year. Also confirmed is the inclusion of pirate Asuka, so rest easy there.

There is no mention of the elusive fourth film that was said to be shown alongside this one, but I'm sure more news will arrive in due time. Hit the jump to watch the preview trailer, where you'll discover that the film has at least given the Eva's one new trick over their anime counterparts.

I wonder where people got this from anyway. A lot of people claimed 3 and 4 would be shown together but when asked for an official source, no one could provide.

My memories of Evangelion are somewhat like that of DBZ: Lots of boring bits. I haven't seen any of these movies, they look rather exciting from the trailers, but I hope there isn't any boring bits .
