this topic is about the movies, which generally assumes people have watched at least some of you are [not] alone and you can [not] advanceI have absolutely no fucking clue what you are on about now. Please rephrase .
I have yet to see any of the new films, but I'm rather highly motivated to check them out now.
I'm especially intrigued by the idea that the "reboot" might actually be taking place within the continuity of Evangelion itself, meaning that the 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, (4.0) films are actually sequels to the series. It also makes the titles, You Are (Not) Alone, You Can (Not) Advance, You Can (Not) Redo rather intriguing.
Lastly, the site for 4.0 is rather odd.

Octo. You need to watch the movies. I mean, yeah, the original TV series ending was just "uhhh what did I just witness?". I have to admit that, after I watched the movies, I was like "ohhh right, now I get it".
The original ending does have a lot of symbolism. To me, episodes 25 and 26, and the movies, are the two sides of a coin. They're telling the same story, only that one's just using symbolism to tell you, while the other shows you the actual events.
Hope I made sense!
I think I did watch the first two movies, but to be honest that was so long ago I've forgotten much of what happened, except for everything being fucked
Anyway, rest assured it will all get rewatched in good time
