And until now I never noticed the parallel between the way Cloud holds Tifa when she's unconscious in the church to the way he holds her in the Nibelheim reactor. Meaningless, perhaps, but I still never noticed it. :p

I wouldn't call it meaningless. The director put a lot of effort into makeing things in CC mimic or mirror things that had already happened elsewhere in the compilation.

True, I think most of it was just the original game, but who knows what other nuances were thrown in.
