graah i try to avoid double posting but I had to ask something. I have no idea if this should be even labeled as a spoiler, because it may very well be glitch based...ah, I'll put it under a tag anyway just cause.
okay, when i'm running around the wasteland, sometimes the screen with flash bright white and it'll sound like a gunshot is going off. what the hell is up with that? is it a glitch or is there any actual explanation for it?

I don't know about the white flashes, but there ARE random sounds of gunfire, even weapons of different calibers; it's an atmospheric effect meant to get across to the player that there's more people out there doin' their thang than just you.
I've heard that type of gunfire before, but this was waaay more jarring, like you were getting shot at. And then the screen blurs/goes white for a second, kind of like when you're head gets injured, but theres no enemy around. I guess that's why I thought it was deliberate.
Also, what faction is everyone leaning toward?
I think on this playthrough I'm going the Independent/Yes Man route, although I've been stalling to get as many side quests done as possible.
What'd you guys choose to do for this quest? My gut reaction was to just go along and kill everyone (mostly cause my sneak skills sucks, and I thought it'd be easier) but the guys at Silver Rush are giving me some trouble. I think I need better armor/weapons or something. D: Does anyone know what happens if you look for evidence?

Sounds like you're been poised.
Various animals in the wasteland can poison you and the screen blur for a second, like when drugs wear off.
Fallout New Vegas Wiki said:
Bark scorpions are often encountered by lower level characters especially in the desert. They have potent poison that causes the victim to experience hallucinations and possibly death if the poison goes untreated. When the player is stung by a bark scorpion's attack, the game may say: "you are feeling a little woozy". This may help to inform the player that they have been stung.
After being struck by the bark scorpion or other poisonous creatures your vision will become blurry and hazy.
I've also been stalling and doing all of the side quests. I'm going to do everything there is to do then make a backup save, pick NCR, complete the game, reload backup save, choose independant/yes man then complete the game.
I'm idolized by NCR & hated by the Legion so going either independant or siding with NCR makes sense for my character. I don't want to complete the game twice doing the exact same things to only play the last few hours differently.
Next time I click on 'New Game': I'm siding with the Legion.
I'll let my gun solve the wastelands problems. Plan C all the way.
A Plan C basically involves systematically killing every living thing in the general area. Doing so will allow you to loot area and its dead residents for a fair amount of income. Generally a quite difficult action, it is best if you are some what skilled before attempting a Plan C. REMEMBER: Plan C is not about killing everone, its about killing everyone so you can take all their stuff after. i saved the town from the raider attacks so that i could Plan C the town myself and take all their shit.
Only glitch i've found with the game has been the lockpicking glitch.
For some reason anytime I go to lockpick anything it overlaps the lock and clip with the screen you would see when trying to hack terminals.
Its annoying as hell since i've got to then try and lockpick doors without seeing the lock!!!!
So I've been slowly playing through Fallout: New Vegas and am getting to the really juicy bits now.
I totally killed Benny in his sleep after having sex with him.
I saved right after that bit so I can go back and take another route, but this time I am totally siding with Legion. Best part is, I'm pretty much loved by all at this point and hopefully I can keep tricking everyone up and until the very end.
