See I really don't like those types of videos. I don't want to discourage you from posting them or anything (because at this point we're scraping the bottom of the barrel XD) but you don't know if they've already watched it and planned their reaction.
More importantly, the fact that they KNOW a FFVII remake is happening before watching it totally ruins it. The joy is the realisation, and that doesn't exist in these videos where people are just recording themselves watching the trailer. It's still cool to see people reacting to the small recognisable elements in the trailer, but it's people who are recognising things unaware that it's definitely a remake trailer that is really the best to watch (IMO).
A big part of why I feel this way is the way the trailer was shot. It was very much planned as a "what is this!? no no no no no no noOMG OMG OMG" announcement trailer. Having the knowledge and opening the thing on YouTube is not the same.
Into the bargain, I find these kind of annoying because the person has gone "look how many views these reaction vids are getting" and popping one up. I've seen "I'm reacting to this trailer" ones where they're not even a VII fan, it's kinda ridiculous.

Yeah, I agree. I guess her reaction doesn't quite feel as genuine as someone who isn't anticipating it. I mean I didn't watch E3 live myself, only to find out my friends posting it's announcement on facebook, so I didn't experience that shock others had.
No worries, Lex. I just thought it was a decent one, but moreso another girl's reaction. A lot of reaction videos have people already knowing what they're seeing, especially with movie trailers. So maybe this wasn't quite as good because it wasn't that kind of surprise and excitement. I also know what you mean when there videos of non-VII fans seeing the trailer. It annoys me too.
Edit: I don't think I saw that one. There were quite a few that were filmed in a theater, but that response at the end seemed pretty new to me.

My first reaction was when I found out about the remake coming at first came to a great surprise to me, because for years I always believed that it was very unlikely for the remake to be made and that one last chapter to the Compilation of FFVII was most likely...but then I came to realise all these years in reality, it was the complete opposite.
Now my only hope is that what's-his-face who is writing new story content for the remake will add in the important parts from the Compilation to be true to FFVII and all the answers that were not answered in the original until the Compilation was created, and if there are enough fan demands for more FFVII and if Square Enix gets enough money for the successful game(And I have a feeling it'll be more successful than FFXV), then they'll continue the Compilation for at least to remake Before Crisis and create one more tale to conclude Genesis's story and FFVII all together with a happy ending.

I don't think it would hurt to do a "top ten reactions chosen by TLS" kinda thing? You can always send requests to the individuals and hold a vote here?
@Tets: completely agree, I actually watched these to re-hype myself because I've kinda been putting the whole thing to the back of my mind. But yes, winter is definitely coming. I'm looking forward to information. If they do another PS experience I can imagine them doing a reveal there!

You know, what's amazing is that every time I watch a reaction video, and see these people watching it and hear the trailer in the background, I actually do get a flicker of that same excitement. Not as huge and mind-blowing as when I first found out, but each time I see one of these videos, I remember it, and I feel it again, and how cool is it that so many different people can see this and get that same feeling?
I'm eagerly waiting for more news come this winter. <3

Honestly I now barely even remember my own reaction because my mind was so blown I think I was drunk on sheer shock and euphoria. It's one of the reasons I'm so gutted that our video didn't save because I lost it, Tets lost it, Carlie lost it... I've forgotten who else was actually streaming with us at that point. I keep holding out hope that the video will somehow appear in a magical record somewhere online.
The only real record is the typed reaction in our overall reaction thread which is still fun to flick through, and one thing I remember is everyone (force, avec, tenny and other folk) joining the google hangout when the stream was almost finished and we were like "OMG I KNOW RIGHT" for five seconds then everyone was just kind of lost in the happy and didn't know what to say XD.
