FYI: I lost interest in FFVII itself a long time ago.

I'm more interested in what they DO with the plot they left in the lurch after Dirge.

That being said, there's only so much you can do with this game compilation.

Anyone who is disappointed they didn't get a TRUE remake: > Play Dissidia Duodecim for a while... maybe you'll feel better.

Seeing as the Final Fantasy series has been doing remakes for a while...

I'm actually more eager if they did an HD remake of FFV and FFVI (and NOT for iPad or whatever phone exists out there... Vita/PS3/PS4 plz.... with FF Origins/20th Anniversary quality graphics at LEAST like the FFIII and FFIV Completes on PSP were).

Well, actually, I mostly want a remake because I think it would only make sense to remake that game before making a sequel. And then I want a full length post-DoC JRPG sequel. If I had to choose between the two, I'd opt for the latter.

This was from an event on Nico Nico in October live with Sephiroth's JP voice actor and a Square Enix producer, apparently 3m (?) people attended, that seems a lot so not sure on that, but they held a poll for favorite Final Fantasy characters, divided into hero and heroine I'm not sure if it's the same poll that was relevant to the one where Aerith and Lightning were in top ten and ended up featuring on a background for Playstation 20th Anniversary edition though.

it was the parents of the 4 babies who were named cloud and aerith, rather than two of the babies themselves

apparently 3m (?) people attended, that seems a lot so not sure on that

No. Most old games aren't compatible (yet) with the PS4. In the case where a game has been released again on the PS4 (such as with Flower, The Unfinished Swan, other PSN games etc) they become free if you've purchased the older version. Other PSN games become available as time goes by, but the vast majority of those that have been released are remasters.

So for example, I own FFIX from the PSN and I've got it on my PS3, PSP and Vita. It's not playable on the PS4. With PS devices it's usually just a matter of time until these things are implemented to allow you to redownload (the Vita didn't have PS support for the first few months) however it's very likely they're trying to move toward Playstation Now for older games, so I'm not sure how they're going to implement playing older games you already own from PSN later (they might not).

I would love a remake. VII engulfed all my teenage years. Sadly I don't think they'll ever make one though. The world is too large and the storyline too long to remake in fully hd ps 4 glory. But who knows....

I'd imagine it's tucked away in a dark corner of some lab within Square Enix headquarters, next to the news about G-Bike getting US/EU release, never to be looked upon until the light reflects off Tetsuya Nomura's many zippers one day and illuminates said corner, dispelling the shadows and paving the way to release.

...Or they just haven't finished working on it yet

I haven't heard jack though I'm hoping with the new G-Bike content recently and the release of Record Keepers in EN that there will be more news on this soon Yeah with RK, and now they've got Type 0 HD release out of the way
