You mean The Crystal Bearers? It had a trailer recently:

Looks awesome.

Considering FFIV is probably one of my top FF's right there with FFVII, I'm heavily biased and think FFIV- The After's story is extremely awesome for a sequel. It gives a fresh new story without rehashing the previous plot..but it also balances a good bit of nostalgia and familiar faces, having different characters involved in their own unique storylines before finally reuniting at the end to take out the final antagonist.[/quote]
Whoa, for a second I didn't realize you were serious. But you're serious?
The After's plot is a huge recycling, Mako.
*SPOILERS*
-Dark Knight Cecil vs. Paladin Cecil is reused as Evil Kain vs. Kain... and then later Dark Knight Cecil vs. Paladin Cecil is itself reused
-The quest to become a Paladin-like being is reused in Kain, though that one's actually to be expected
-The main body of the plot involves trying to keep the crystals away from a mysterious villain while losing on every occasion. Again
-The mysterious villain supplants the king of Baron with an imposter and uses the Red Wings to wage war. Again
-The mysterious villain uses mind control on an old ally to make them fight you. Kain the first time, Cecil this time (he and Cecil basically just traded roles for this game); and, actually, because Evil Kain's running around helping the mysterious villain, they literally reused that plot point
-Rosa gets kidnapped by Evil Kain again
-The mysterious villain is actually just a puppet and is closely related to a member of the party. Cecil's brother the first time, a clone of Rydia this time
-The mysterious villain joins forces with the party to battle the true enemy. Golbez did it the first time, Minus this time
-The puppet master of the mysterious villain is an extraterrestrial egotist who sees the inhabitants of the blue planet as unworthy to live; this extraterrestrial egotist also lives inside the
other fucking moon; holy fucking shit, get some new ideas, Tokita!
Ahem. Sorry for the spiel, but goddamn. They even brought back Rubicante and the other three elemental bosses. And Zeromus, for a couple minutes.
But, yeah, there's a wider cast of playable characters this time around. So that's new. But "awesome"? Really, Mako? You weren't being sarcastic?
Well. Okay. To each their own.
Honestly, the only thing I consider awesome about it is the artwork. That's absolutely made of win.
