^Both the bradygames and piggyback guides have 100% guides too, but following them will leave you 0.2% short.

Well no it's not, you can get 100% in a single playthrough by following one of the GameFAQs guides XD. I did it on my run of the HD remaster.

I'm using the one by KeyBlade999, he/she has one of X and -2 so it's been very helpful. Even if I didn't actually use a guide starting out with X, I know X-2 is sidequest heavy and I am no good at picking up obscure things like that.

I've been wrecking in blitzball. Brother is sooo fast.

I did for one game, but then I went up against Al Bhed and they reked me way to hard... I wish I knew where to find the better players. Also this is the reason I don't own any of Wakka's overdrives.

As for X-2, Yuna dressed up like a Moogle. So that happened

^He helped you guys by casting on himself. Must say my fight with Seymour didn't go like that.

I tried some chocobo racing and on my third or so try got 0.5 seconds and then the game continued to screw me.

Although you wind up tired of hearing it if you keep losing, I freaking love Auron's badass speech before that fight.

"Now! This is it! Now is the time to choose! Die, and be free of pain, or live and fight your sorrow! Now is the time to shape your stories, your fates are in your hands!"

(That might not be perfect, but I wrote that entirely from memory, thus showing how it's stuck with me. Which speaks to either how much I liked it...or how many times Yunalesca killed me.)

Just watching that recording got me re-pissed off about that fight.

That was an awesome finish tho. I presume you are also playing through the game too Kuja?

Correct. I never knew eithers had a drain effect when zombied.

I've only gotten a game over once. I got stoned by some lizards in the sunken cavern a while back.

Got the chocobo race done along with the lightning dodging (I got to 50, got hit, and eventually stopped keeping track).

I put on my MP3 and ended up with 363 dodges.

The Greatest Jubilee carried me through the race and the following got through the dodges

In this exact order as played on my MP3 Player.

Everything=Nothing(OCRemix for FFVIII)
Wish(FFXIII-2)
Answers(FFXIV)
Finale(Syphon Filter 2)
Fiona's Theme(Zoids Chaotic Century)
Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec(FFVIII)
Flock Off(Devil May Cry 1)
Folgran(Klonoa 2)
Followers Of Chaos(FFXIII-2)
Force Your Way(FFVIII)

I've halted the story in order to catch monsters and get everyone's ultimate weapon(which have done) I just need to power up Wakka and Auron's and I'm done with that.

This happened in blitzball.

Completed the game, now I just gotta max stats, complete the sphere grid, kill the dark aeons, kill the monster arena monsters, and kill penance.

In other words, you're just about halfway there ;)

But seriously, getting to those stages may take about the same length as having completed the game itself, likely more [EDIT: Actually, you look pretty well-powered at the moment!]. Unless, of course, you plan on Zanmato'ing everything, but that's no fun, sure :P

I know this isn't your first time playing the game, but will this be the first time attempting all those aspects?

On the PS2 version, I had everything maxed out and had beaten everything.

Those overkills weren't intentional.

Gotcha. I think I stopped around just before Penance. I fought him twice, lost, decided I needed a new strategy, and I was still working at upping my HP (I was just over 50,000 with everyone - though I wouldn't do that again 'cause I know how irrelevant that can become), but never got back around to it.

On another note, I'm thinking of getting my mam to play FFX. She hasn't played a proper game since Toca Touring Cars 2 on the PS1, and the family needs to get her off Candy Crush for a while :monster:
I figure the music and story should work in our favour.

@Red, Yea I've gotta agree, doing all the extra content very well takes longer than a run through of the game.

I've been playing IX, but with X I stopped at the level grinding, and playing blitzball. I know I killed Dark Valefor pretty easily, but I have a lot more level grinding and blitzball playing to do.

Honestly I wish there wasn't a cap of 99 regarding spheres because you can go through a stack of mana spheres so quickly and then you need to refarm them.

Sphere Grid grinding seems to be the one thing that will take the most time. And I also wish I chose the expert sphere grid because I now also need to find a way to fill in all the empty nodes.

@Kuja - Even getting 1/8 of the stats needed to max makes the final 3 boss fights ridiculous easy.
