Sorry, I meant to say I haven't heard much of her voice yet, I have seen that trailer before. Thanks anyway though
And you both have it wrong. She's Jack Sparrow's Australian half-sister, who flies on dragons rather than sails seas. Halfway through the game she's gonna run out of rum, and then she'll REALLY get pissed.
If by "extremely gay" you mean "extremely awesome," I'd have to agree!
I've avoided watching any trailers or looking at much about the game until now. Seeing as how we've got the final trailer now, I watched it and am very interested in this game.
I definitely want to see more of these characters and their stories.
The atmosphere reminds me of Final Fantasy VIII in a lot of ways -- the synergy between the sci-fi and the more traditional fantasy elements, for instance. The apparent aesthetic similarities between Cocoon and Esthar as well.
Also, though I don't know a lot about it yet and it may be completely wrong, this whole issue with the fal'Cie and l'Cie sounds similar to FFVIII's witches.
That said, there definitely seem to be more plot similarities to FFVII so far. You've got the "female Cloud" with Lightning, the "white Barret" with Snow (complete with his own AVALANCHE-like team), a Shin-Ra analogue, and a Midgar analogue.
Also, did
(Snow: "We...can see her again, right?"
Lightning: "We can see her for sure..."
...
Snow: "Let's go see her...once we finish this.")
from the trailer remind anyone else of "I think I can meet here...there"?
I also wouldn't be surprised to learn that FFXIII will have some kind of dete mechanics in play. Even FFX had it to a degree, and -- like FFXIII and FFVII -- was the first FF game on a new system.
So I'm eagerly looking forward, for a lot of reasons.
I like a little mystery until the time comes to rectify the "clothed" issue. Actually, it's even better if she's wearing clothes that allow business to be taken care of without undressing.
