I'm glad someone said something about the pronunciations because the word Iris is being pronounced as "Eeee-ris", and that sort of bugged me. :monster:

Says the person who pronounces things like:
Sephiroth - Sephy-roth
Bahamut - Bu-HA-mutt

Also, I came home to work and went straight to the playstation. I'm literally eating tortillas dipped in sour cream because CBA to kitchen time. WHAT IS HAPPENING???

Oh no I need halp and neither my Piggyback nor the interweebz are helping me. :sadpanda:

So I think the only way to get the Sturdy Helixhorn to upgrade the Engine Blade is through the Last Spiracorn sidequest but I already finished that loooooooooooong ago and I never got the Helixhorn item. Am I shit out of luck or is this item going to drop somewhere else in the future? :(

You need to redo the hunt, just go to the place you got it from and click on it again to redo it. And here is where it gets super fun annoying, you need to basically only hit the Duplicorn in its horn and get the last hit on it to get the Sturdy Helixhorn to drop.

Just fought Aranea. Was a fun battle. It ended with a midair clash between Noctis and her...not sure whether that was scripted to happen or whether I did a cool thing? It seemed to have been triggered by warp-striking her while she's in mid-air so I'm just gonna assume the latter :P

So did anyone else get FFXV postcards with their UCE? It wasn't in the actual box but it was in the packaging (i.e. the box that the box was in). I only just realised because my housemate was throwing out the box for me and they fell out.

I did, they were at the top of the box. Or rather I should say I opened my box upside down. :lol: They're tucked away safely inside the fancy UCE box now.

I accomplished a lot of shit in XV today, even if I didn't progress much storywise. I can fight off Iron Giants (one at a time though haha), I'm almost finally at level 30, but I'm also flat broke for gil cause I blew it all on new equipment and spending the night at Galdin Quay cause I racked up 8k experience for the day doing a bunch of quests and hunts. (and everyone was bitching about how they were tired and wanted to go to sleep.)

I also figured out how to make -ra/Aga spells. Now, if I can just figure out what AP skill lets my team know to get the fuck out of the area before I blow it up with magic...

Also, to answer my own question of whether or not it's faster to go by chocobo or by car when doing quests and hunts -- I find it a lot easier to leave my car in one outpost, and to rest at another outpost/nearby camp, so that I can teleport between the two places and finish up twice as many quests in one day, and exclusively use the chocobo for traveling only.

I find that Ignis' Regroup skill is such a lifesaver for exactly this - well, that and its quick HP recovery. I was messing around with Magic and made a Tricast thing that just tore shit up.

I decided to explore
because it was simply too tantalising to not go in, even though the quest item was outside. And I got completely wrecked by Yojimbo's demented cousin. Ouch.

Oh god, fuck those mines.
I went in there during the night on a whim, and when I got to the 2nd level, Noctis and friends started going all "OMG WHAT IS THAT" and I nearly jumped out of my seat when I saw a shadowy figure just standing there. And then I got scared for real when I saw it was level 52, warped over to Noctis and killed him dead in one go and knocked him off the mine tracks and into a pit of goblins waiting to rip what remained of Noctis to shreds.

I was like level 10, so.

Speaking of going into places I'm not totally prepared for, I was riding my chocobos through a tunnel that leads back to Galdin Quay, and a monster similar to the one that attacked me in the mines had spawned and it was mildly terrifying, as it started to follow me down the tunnel and managed to knock me off my chocobo. I had to run for it in the end. What the hell was that all about?!

I won't be buying this game until it's fully baked. Just watching the story, it seems incomplete. I do want to experience the gameplay though.

I got in touch with Square Enix Online Support and they said, I quote directly: "your order is now in the carrier's hands and so it should be arriving any time now."

Except they said this on Sunday and it's Wednesday already. They also said the service they got from Royal Mail does not have tracking number so it's anybody's guess. Nothing I can do now.

This bothers me, but when you consider they have my money since the 31st of October, it pisses me off. This is the first (and certainly last!!) time I bought from their store and the whole experience has been miserable.
