Though I would definitely take one of Aranea over Cindy anyday.

I wouldn't mind one of Luna either.

Who needs support characters when you have oversized s0rds b00bs that are better at everything forever anyway :monster:

Oh hey Ardyn is here. What's he want? Being a bit stalkery right now eh?
Omg he wants to take us to the Disc. Omg he's chatting and waltzing to his car. Wait I can ride with him?!
*denied* Dammit :wacky:
I get to follow him in a car lolol how fun. :awesome:
OH MY GOD HE WANTS TO SLEEP IN A CARAVAN WITH THE GROUP
OMG HES CHATTING WITH THEM AS YOU LEVEL UP

Pure gold. :closedmonster: <3 Especially since I suspicion that he's the big bad in the game so to say. This was just awesome. :awesome:
Still need to follow him the rest of the way. I just had to share my reaction here. XD

How, if at all, do summons work? I sometimes - particularly in boss fights of sorts - get a "holde R2 to summone!", which I do, and then Ramuh appears. But it seems completely arbitrary, and up until recently it only appeared shortly after getting Ramuh, in one of the empire strongholds. Is it in any way predictable? Can I summon Titan / Leviathan at all? Do I get a choice?

Have to say though, when I do manage to summon it's super effective and pwns whoever I'm fighting. That's how summons should work. Looking at you FFVII and VIII (at least / top of my head), where often summons were no more effective than a regular attack or magic, except taking ten times as long.

The option appears under certain conditions. The one you used, for example, has a greater chance of appearing the longer a battle goes on. The boss from the end of chapter 3 will appear if every other party member is dead, or something like that. I dunno about the others.

I had one appear after taking too long to kill some crabs outside of Dino's place. Fuck Crabs. Won't be clipping my codpiece anytime soon (lame FFXIV joke.)

These are the summoning conditions: http://www.rpgsite.net/feature/5114-final-fantasy-xv-guide-how-to-summon-the-astrals-to-your-aid

Spoiler alert: it reveals how many summons are present in the game.

To be fair, the game itself tells you how many summons there are nearly from the beginning. It's even one of the trophies.

Yeah there's a leaflet somewhere that lists all of the gods; after two of them, you sorta get the gist of it. Thanks for the answers gaise <3. So basically, you get 'em if you suck. Got it.

Did a Coeurl hunt today. Because they can suck a bag of dicks I decided to cheese that battle.
I stood on a rock where they couldn't reach me and picked them off one by one with the Death spell. Suck it you feline fucks.

Cid just upgraded my Engine Blade

It is appropriately powerful, stronger than the strongest greatsword I currently have. :wacky:

Holy sweet mother of god the Adamantoise is absolutely astounding! FFXIII's Long Guis were like the fucking baby version of this.

You all want giant fiends? Fine, here's a fucking MOUNTAIN.

The Kingly Raiment looks silly on Young Noctis. I wish there was some way to keep the older grizzled Noct in the open world...

At least the Kingsglaive uniforms for the others look great.

I've said it before but I really, REALLY want a Kingsglaive uniform. They look so snazzy and cool. The coats! The boots! HnngH!

I've encountered Adamantoise but apart from the impressive size I think the battle is gonna be a letdown. Giant things are generally janky as fuck to fight against unless it's a game that has a system revolving around scaling them and attacking weakpoints and shit like Shadow of the Colossus.

I think Adamantoise will just be a janky, glitchy and way too long and boring boss battle.

And I will do it anyway. Dx

K I took a break from this yesterday because it was consuming my life. :monster:

Anyone feel like the story is actually really quickly moving? Idk how many chapters there are but apparently I'm already in Chapter 5 and I feel like I've only invested (tops) 1.5 hours in the story whereas I've spent 50+ hours running around. :wacky: Was kind of hoping that the story side of things would be very time consuming so I could draw this out until at least February.

Also I think Lex mentioned something about the postcards falling out of the box? I ordered two versions of the game (UCE for me and Deluxe as a gift) and in both cases it looked like they were just sort of thrown into the box before shipping.

Oh my doge, thank you so much for that. Stupid feckwits. They always kill me even though I'm like ultra leveled-up. :kermit:

I love that as much as this game has been extremely divisive, we're all united in our misery of having been wrecked at least once by those fucking Coeurls.

Okay so like the whole thing at the Disc of Cauthess and with Titan was totally awesome. :awesome: The beauty of the location (I went through it at night, everything glowed red and blue and was soooo pretty <3), Titan always watching you and trying to grab you at times, then the actual fight. It was pretty damn amazing I have to say. One of the best boss fights I've ever seen in a FF game. I hope this becomes a norm tbh. Much more exciting and fun than just walking into a room, boss appears (usually not gigantic in size either), and fight ensues. :monster:

I'm now in chapter 5 and having fun advancing the story more. Next chance I get I'll do more sidequests.

Edit: Whoa, so like I saw screenshots of Titan and the area in the day and... it's nowhere near as impressive looking or atmospheric compared to nighttime (from what I can see). I feel like I really lucked out.
