No, I know that. I'm saying it's crazy that you have dumped 90 hours into the game without seeing...any story, haha. Also the rest of the game will hold absolutely zero challenge. At any rate I see why XII's grindiness doesn't bother you.

re: ^ that, I'm in Chapter 7 but I need a break because I played too much and my thumb is destroyed. That being said, the boyfriend played a few hours last night and I think he was sort of hooked. (Until he went inside a dungeon with not enough Elixirs and Game Over'd, 45 minutes of progress lost X))

Finally decided to go and beat the game (after about 85 hrs).

It's finally over...

Crestholm Channels yesterday. Finally. Felt cool to return to it, the first dungeon I ever entered and then left the moment I saw the monster levels.
Fucking maze, pretty sure I didn't explore the entire system Did great tbh, in my upper 40's for levels. The samurai boss dude was a bit of trouble, but I beat him most of the way down before Ramuh decided to help (he tried earlier, I held down the button, he never appeared )

Also had some trouble with the stupid Naga until I equipped everyone but Iggy with moon pendants. XD

And then I found Jormungand I got almost a quarter of his health down before Ramuh appeared, who took it down to about a quarter left total. At this point his attacks were slowed and he looked quite charred Managed to beat him then. I don't know if I could've done it without Ramuh's help. Awesome monster design though <3 This game really needs a bestiary.

Yeah, that is one area where this game both excels and could benefit from additional material. Simply amazing enemy designs begging for a FFXII-like bestiary.

I have yet to encounter a cactuar. Where the hell do they appear?

There's a Hunt for them in Longwythe I think but I don't know the conditions to unlock it.

I've encountered 1 cactaur. It was my first encounter upon arriving in Duscae

I'm pretty sure that they only appear after 15 mins, and between certain times of day. They're rare overall. I can look up the specific conditions if desired.

Also, I just love playing this game & the fact that there's so much late-game content and just roaming around and fighting badass creatures to be done.

Bout to hop on after taking a break for a few days and ready to push through Chapter 9. I know this where shit starts going down, and I'm eager to talk about the plot points that happen in this chapter with all the cool kids at last.

In fairness, I feel this way about every JRPG. XII's bestiary is the tits.

I'm just itching for more story content is all.

I need to beat this game, but final area was Level 70+

Go to lower level areas where you can kill enemies with one warp strike.
