Don't even get me started on the hair; the whopping TWO style available for females are complete shit. And don't even get me started on the 'it's more practical for female warriors to have short hair' because I am living proof that it isn't true. Is it too much to ask that I want my female character to actually LOOK like a woman?

Anyway, getting ahead of myself. It's only a beta. Breath in, Lithmeister.

But if this is all there is to it, having a base to get missions from, and then meeting people at a campsite for a mission... I don't know if I'll be investing much time in this. I expected something more... open world, like. :closedmonster:

And the combat is clumsy as hell. I kicked ass in the OG, and here I keep feeling like I'm doing something wrong.

But yay for it taking place in the World of Ruin! We were right about that!

Yeah, I'm REALLY hoping that a shitton more styles and other things are available in the full version of things to provide variety.

Saaaaaaaaaaame feeling here. I'll have to see what it's like in a proper group and if it feels like combat meshes together better when you can rely on your other party members.

I've been doing those Timed Challenges, and they've been getting progressively harder.

A legion of Couerls is no joke. Even if you have Ribbon equipped on all 4 party members, they can easily overwhelm and interrupt Noct with their pounce move you gotta mash out of.


Does anyone have an easy guide for hitting Level 120? I sure could use the advice (I still need Limit Break on Ignis, Prompto, and Gladio yet).

Consume the Lasagna from Maagho's or have Ignis make it at camp; it'll give you 100x EXP boost. Equip a Nixperience band on one of your party members in case you're forced to make camp (this is handy during the Menace Beneath Lucis quests, where you need to camp to refresh status boosts and to save), and basically bank enough EXP for a huge payoff in the Royal Suite in Altissia.

The Menace Beneath Lucis quests are actually a great way to gain a bunch of EXP. But I got from level 76 to level 100 from the very first timed quest months ago, with the cactuars and slactuars, and kept doing the quest until my EXP boost wore off, then I'd go to level up and eat lasagna again.

Which one did I see that was $600 then? It was on Twitter earlier... didn't pay much attention...

Ah, it was an X Box One X bundled with the Elite controller. I apologize.

I got Mr. Lith one of those elite controllers for his birthday, they're pretty neat.

Nifty new feature there, too, being able to play the whole game in first-person view.

I hope the GTX1080 isn't the minimum, otherwise not many would be able to play it. Those cards are in the region of £600-£800...

SE are gonna get a lot of flack for this. I'm not completely against the idea but my money's on it being crap. And expensive. I wouldn't be surprised if episodes 2-10 end up costing $5-10 each.

Minimum spec is a 960. 1080ti is recommended. The reason seems to be that it's recommended to be played in 4k.
