I have lots of great stuff to share.

First, have all this new dialogue from the Pocket Edition (some of this I've already mentioned, but I'm just being thorough):

----
(at the Longwythe Rest Area)
Prompto: Man, once you get hitched, you'll be too tied down to hang with us like this anymore.
Noctis: And who's gonna stop me?
Ignis: Your conscience. It hardly needs saying that your duties and your lady wife come first.
Prompto: So we don't have much time! Gotta check off your bucket list before "till death do you part."
---

(on the drive to Galdin Quay from the Longwythe Rest Area)
Gladiolus: How's a dog like that manage to follow you around everywhere?
Ignis: Being one of the Oracle's twenty-four Messengers has its perks, circumventing time-space notwithstanding.
Prompto: Well, if that's the case, why doesn't Pryna transcend her way over here sometime?
Gladiolus: Pryna?
Prompto: Lady Lunafreya's other dog, Umbra's little sister. She's white and fluffy and totes adorbs. Rescued—and it's thanks to her I'm here now.
---

(at Galdin Quay)
Prompto: You always have that book in your hand. Is it that good?
Gladio: Wanna borrow it?
Prompto: Just run down the major plot points.
Gladio: Yeah, that's gonna happen.
---

(while walking past the power plant)
Rise and shine everyone! This is Maya, EXINERIS Plant Manager! It's time to roll up our sleeves for another work day. Remember: safety first and productive always.
---

(while walking past the power plant)
Good morning, everyone. Maya here, from EXINERIS. Remember: breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Make the time to chow down. So you'll be charged up and ready for anything!
---

(while walking past the power plant)
Hello, everyone. This is Maya, here to congratulate you on a hard day's work.
---

(conversation in Lestallum)
Old Woman: Sure I got shut out. Regis shut everybody out.
Old Man: Wow, that's awful. You must've felt betrayed.
Old Woman: Of course. We hated him for keeping the wall for himself and for his city. But there’s not much left to hate now—just piles of rubble.
---

(conversation in Lestallum)
Old Man (1): Been twenty years since he went to the Disc. How time flies.
Old Man (2): Never found out if he actually made it to the Meteor.
Old Man (1): Oh, I don’t see how. Can’t just walk up close to a thing like that.
---

(in the courtyard outside the Leville)
Girl: You think that boy's still here?
Boy: How should I know? Why don't you find him yourself and tell him more about the waterfall?
Girl: Why are you angry?
Boy: I'm not angry! Why would I be angry?
---

Noct: You sure you don't want to cover up?
Gladio: And deny these people a show? I think not.
---

(on the way to the first runestone)
Gladiolus: Lady Lunafreya doing alright?
Noctis: Probably. She pasted in a little nature stamp.
Prompto: A stamp?
Ignis: She's opted for simpler modes of communication to indulge our indolent prince.
Noctis: She usually sends pictures and flowers. I send back stickers and stuff.
Prompto: Sounds like you two have some riveting conversations.
---

(on the way to the second runestone)
Gentiana: Within the Walls of Water, the Oracle awaits... ...the coming of the king. Do not delay.
---

(still on the way to the second runestone)
Gentiana: Finite is the Oracle's strength, and great is the toll of the covenant. Without the King, it will be too much to bear.
Ignis: What is it?
Noctis: Apparently all this is taking a toll on Luna, and I should go to her.
Ignis: In dealings with the gods, life is often the currency.
---

(after Gladio returns)
Gladio: You guys slack off while I was gone?
Noct: That imperial dragoon wouldn't let us.
Gladio: The girl? You fight 'er?
Noct: Nope. Befriended her.
Gladio: Just like that?
Noct: It's complicated.
---

(morning after clearing the daemons from the power plant)
Prompto: So where exactly have you been all this time?
Gladio: I can't say, I'm afraid.
Noct: He's afraid to say!
Prompto: He can't—it's unsayable!
---

Cid: You met ol' Wes? Good.
Noctis: What's his story anyway?
Cid: It started with a wound. Wes stayed here while he recovered. Then he stayed for good, an' opened up that shop of his.
Ignis: After the journey with His Majesty, he settled here and opened shop. He's an odd specimen.
---

(exploring the ruins of Insomnia)
Gladio: Leave it to the MTs to stick around. Ten years, wandering aimlessly.
---

(exploring the ruins of Insomnia)
Noctis: Wow—it's one hell of a battle they waged here.
Prompto: What a mess.
Gladio: Ten years of neglect will do that to a city.
Noctis: Good luck building it all back up.
Prompto: Hey! Don't count yourself out so quick!
Noctis: You know it's gonna be up to you guys.
Ignis: But we'd rather not remember.
---

(while making their way through the train station)
Gladio: You really got it all out, didn't you?
Noct: Said all I have to say.
Prompto: You're starting to sound like a real king.
Noct: That's because I am a real king.
Ignis: Yes... Our king.
---

(first phase of final battle)
Ardyn: It is from my body the daemon spawn begin. Thence they go and make daemons of men.
---

(second phase of final battle)
Ardyn: Behold, O King. This realm in darkness. This land...of daemons.
---

(second phase of final battle)
Noctis: Too dark to see anything. It's time I restored the Light.
---

(third phase)
Ardyn: Even were the dawn to break now... ...it would only bring the horrors to light! The truth offers only despair.
Noctis: Yet the people will live on.
Ardyn: You know those kings will not protect you.
Noctis: I know—I am the protector.
Ardyn: The Crystal uses you. Drains you of life. It plays you all for fools.
Noctis: I accept it... ...if it means driving out the darkness.
[Ardyn cackles]
Ardyn: You should all thank me. In the dark, you would know peace.
Noctis: I will drag you from that darkness. Out of solitude. Out of emptiness.
Ardyn: Will you?
Noctis: You are a slave to the dark. Until you are free—you suffer alone! Return as you were... ...a kind and noble king!
Ardyn: You claim to know me. You fancy yourself benevolent and worthy... Yet when your father died... ...you were off playing with your friends! When your beloved died... ...you lay watching, powerless to stop it! And now you dare speak down to me? You think ten years is a long time!? It is nothing to me! I have lived in darkness for ages!

(as Noct delivers the final blows)
Ardyn: Have you made your peace, king? If darkness shall die, so shall you! Curse you kings and your iniquitous Crystal! Vengeance was to at last be mine! If not for you. I hate you—with all my being!

(after Noct delivers the killing strike with the Sword of the Father, piercing Ardyn's heart)
Ardyn: So, that is how you would end it.
---
----

Next up, new (or at least newly discovered) dialogue in the main game:

----
Aranea: Hey, Blondie. You sure you and I haven't met somewhere before?
Prompto: Well, it definitely couldn't have been in Niflheim 'cause I've lived my whole life in Lucis and all.
[Prompto chuckles nervously]
Prompto: Wait a sec—are you flirting with me?
Aranea: Nope. But I guess you're right. Probably just my imagination.
---

(while exploring the ruins of Insomnia)
Noctis: Every night must come to an end.
Ignis: Right. And until the dawn breaks, I'll remain at your side.
---

(after successfully performing a Cross Chain)
Prompto: We hit that Synchrobeat like boom-boom-POW!
Gladio: We hit what like what?
[Note: the audio here has Gladio say "Uh. We hit what like what?"]
Ignis: What about something a touch more refined—"Cross Chain," perhaps?
Noct: Sounds good to me.
Gladio: Gimme a break.
---

(after successfully performing a Cross Chain)
Prompto: Man, was that a good Cross Chain or what?
Gladio: Are you seriously trying to make that a thing?
---

(after successfully performing a Cross Chain)
Ignis: Another Cross Chain complete.
Gladio: Seriously, Iggy?
---

(after successfully performing a Cross Chain)
Prompto: Man, was that a good Cross Chain or what?
Ignis: A job well done, indeed.
---

(after successfully performing a Cross Chain during Chapter 14)
Prompto: Good Cross Chain, you guys.
[Gladio groans]
Gladio: I almost forgot about that awful name.
Noct: Talk about a throwback.

Next, here's a document I came across with a bunch of the new lines for the main game -- but it also has what appears to be (highly spoilery) lines for Chapter 14 of the Royal Edition that I don't know how they (i.e. whoever put this together) acquired.

Speaking of the Royal Edition, supposed leak of the trophies for the new content (spoilers ahoy!).

Here's dialogue from the Chocobros to one another while playing "King's Knight":

And finally, have an imgur album with a couple hundred awesome photos of Best Girl, a.k.a. Iris:

Tres, you might get a kick out of this,
but Noctis is apologetic when fighting Shiva in Dissidia NT (being Gentiana and all.).

This scene's propensity for glitches never fails to deliver the lulz:

----

Speaking of glitches, in my playthrough, I'm in Altissia at the moment. Following my visit to Maagho, NPCs will no longer speak. Those with an interaction command will, but the ambient conversations you can hear while walking around have stopped.

I confirmed that this is a glitch by loading an older save from right before I finished Chapter 8, going to Maagho again, then checking to see if everyone was still talking after that visit (they were).

By the time I realized something was wrong, I had already done too much side stuff (fishing, photo-ops, hunts, etc.) to want to bother with starting Chapter 9 over. Thankfully, I've confirmed that when traveling back to Lucis via Umbra, NPCs still conversate. I just don't know if they're going to when I get to Chapter 10 and beyond. Guess we'll see.

Worst case scenario, I suppose, is that they may not start back up until a New Game+.
----

In happier news, I've now conquered FFXV's ultimate challenge: I caught the Regal Arapaima. :monster:

My final battle with him begins at 2:26:45 here:

I could have finished him with a lot more line left on my reel, but since I was doing so well and starting to get impatient toward the end, I sped things up a little and just took the extra hits to my line.

is it advisable to play the pocket edition before you have the chance to play the real thing or will it just ruin the experience? I played the first chapter of the PE and found it really enjoable, so I was wondering if I should purchase the whole thing. What are the opinions of experienced players like you? Did anyone here play the PE already?

Tennyo

Good question. I myself haven't taken the time to play the pocket edition yet, though I do really want to try it.

If you're at all concerned about spoilers, don't play the PE. It runs through all the mandatory segments of the main game's story. Most side quests are left out, but anything you might be likely to consider spoilery is in the PE.

Hmm, that's the question I ask myself. Though I've already read a bunch of spoilers about the story, I don't know if I want to spoil the whole game, if I'm ever going to play it.
On the other hand I don't know when that will be.

Oh lord... I'm here forever, eh?

Well, I mean, I still haven't reached a level where I can
defeat Bahamut in Comrades
, but I'm hoping the gameplay gets sped up a little bit with more content and stuff to play with.

I am DEFINITELY ready to dive back in on Comrades. I genuinely miss palling around and wrecking shit in that with the TLS crew, or even the random whoever.

If anyone else is jonesing for some footage of what we can expect from the Royal Pack, have some below (it really isn't much, but better than nothing):

- Footage of the expanded Insomnia

- Footage of Armiger Unleashed in action (around 12:16)
