Well, at this point I compare FFXV with blockbuster film trilogies like LoTR and long running TV shows like Game of Thrones.
The game itself isn't the only part of the experience, as even the funny Tweets, Trailers, crossovers, books, and everything else are part of this experience.
I do not expect FFXV's story to be this linear canonical "thing" your typical story hound might anticipate it to be. Even Dissidia NT and Tekken 7 are both a part of the FFXV Experience to me, and that's pretty awesome.
Before, I said I'd wait to play Dissidia before I gave my final verdict on FFXV, but that's wrong.
There IS no Final Verdict, much like there IS no "Final" Fantasy.
FFXV will only end when people stop talking about it or making content for it.
And while that feels inconclusive to an RPG fan seeking closure, it's certainly better than the alternative fate most games eventually see. The end of an incomplete idea.
