Hey, remember when this was a fun little hangman thread? Well, I wanted to play another game with the community, but instead of creating Yet Another Thread™ in order to host it, I've decided to bring this one back to life.
So, I've spent some hours on this lazy Sunday combining two of my passions: sparking final fantasy-centric community fun and rage quitting my crossword puzzle app.

I'll give zero indication as to whether or not an answer is correct to make things a little more interesting/challenging (edit: However, every 5 guesses or so, one may request a “check” to have the wrong answers erased).
Now, again, this took me a hot minute to put together lmao so whilst I'll be mad impressed if you all managed to solve all the things like... today... I'll also be like... omg so that's how they wanna play it eh, I'll be sure to make the clues even more obnoxiously unclear next time!!!!

Also, which translation did you use to make this, fancy? NES, Origins, Anniversary? There are differences between them, so it might help us to know which version of the text you used to make the puzzle.
