About the Faceless Men, I was hoping in vain that the whole "become no one" thing would be revealed as bullshit. If you are supposed to give up everything you are, then who is the person doing the giving up?
Oh, I almost forgot: according to winteriscoming.net, sources have leaked some info for Season 7.
Spoilers tags for those who wish to hide their virgin eyes from speculation:
There's supposedly going to be a great battle at sea against Yara and Theon's forces and Euron. The how and why of it is yet to be explained, of course.
Lots of Game of Thrones Season 7 news to hit the internet lately, the majority of it about the locations that they're shooting in, which is interesting
Photos of cast members on set.
Fan favorite Lyanna Mormont is returning.
Maisie Williams in a costume reminiscent of her Northern kin.
Some spoilers that don't necessarily reveal the plot, but are about certain characters filming scenes together.
There are scenes with Bran and Dolorous Edd and the Night's Watch being filmed.
It appears that Jon and Daenerys will indeed be meeting this season (as if there was any doubt: not only have Jon and Davos been seen filming scenes in locations that clearly aren't representing the North (i.e. grassy scenery), scenes with Tyrion and Davos meeting on shoreline are being filmed, as well as scenes with Jon and Davos in what fans are speculating to be Dragonstone, with Missandei (who's dressed in dark colors, similar to Dany at the Season 6 finale).
There's also been news of scenes being filmed with Tyrion, Davos, and Gendry escaping from two gold cloaks. And Gendry is also wielding a warhammer, in the style of Robert Baratheon.
To start off with, a theory that some fans have had since the end of Season 6 has come to fruition. Photos of Pilou Asbaek have been seen in costume on set (along with a multitude of other actors) in Spain have surfaced, with him leading a captive Yara Greyjoy
in chains behind him on horseback. But the most interesting thing is he has not one captive, but three. Ellaria and Tyene Sand were also spotted in chains in the same procession,
adding fuel to speculation that not only were they taken captive during the big naval battle that's supposed to happen, but that Obara and Nymeria might also meet their end before that. Interestingly enough, there is no Theon, so the photos of him on set at Dragonstone talking with Jon Snow must be after he escaped. I hope we get to see Alfie Allen's character step up and lead whatever's left of the Greyjoy forces.
I'm just excited to see what Cersei's going to do with her daughter's killers.
But for some reason, I think that people may throw fits that three female characters end up as prisoners. Because they've run out of things to complain about.
BTW, the armor for Cersei's Queensguard is feckin SWEET.
If you notice the fabric on their tunics--it's the same brocade with a leather laser cut overlay that Cersei wore in her coronation dress; something we've also seen in Tywin's costumes in seasons past. Of course the pauldrons are a dead ringer for the ones Lena Headey also wore in the finale, and the design on their breastplate is quite simply, her crown.
Some other little tidbits I won't elaborate that much on:
There's supposed to be a big fight between Jaime's Lannister forces and Dany's Dothraki horde. One guess as to who wins this round.
The Tarlys and the Lannisters also sack Highgarden, presumably because Olenna allied with Daenerys. But it's interesting, because not only are the Tarlys are pledged to the Tyrells (sadly there are none left), but they also for the Targaryens during Robert's Rebellion, so this is an interesting development.
