Still in recovery from last night's finale, because O.M.G.
I have to be in class in about 40 minutes so these thoughts might be split up.

I'm so glad I never went crazy with the book/show comparisons, because regardless of the differences or if any of this will happen in some way/shape/form in the books, I am living vicariously through these characters right now.
First of all: that opening montage--WOW. Cycling through the characters as they get ready to start their day, and then continuing into the various scenes at the Sept, beneath it, and back at the Red Keep; very good decision by the director and film editors. You almost get a monotonous feeling until we see that Cersei, and then Tommen being stopped by the Mountain, not joining the others at the Sept.
Anyone notice that Cersei's new outfits look similiar to what Tywin wore? It's like a laser cut pattern on leather over fabric... Either way, she's rocking the high collar and the pauldrons and chain.
I was wondering where the 'Light of the Seven' track would be played, and I got my answer as soon as the episode started up. What an awesome track by Ramin Djawadi. It gave these scenes such an eerie feel. If you skip toward the end of the track, you'll notice the main GoT theme being played the organ. Talk about an eargasm.
Poor Tommen. He really didn't deserve everything that had been thrust upon him. The one flaw in Cersei's plan, not going to her son immediately after the explosion...
Speaking of which, while it's awesome to see these characters come out on top, it's equally as gratifying to see that their actions are having consequences. For Cersei it's Tommen's suicide, for Sansa it's guilt about lying to Jon, and then her further distrust of him, spurred on by Littlefinger.
Oooh Littlefinger. You creep. I literally kept saying that after he approached Sansa in the Godswood. Creep. Creep. And Sansa turned him down, LIKE A BOSS.
I honestly thought Melisandre would be executed, but it's good to see that Jon didn't forget that it was through her that the Lord of Light brought him back. Speaking of which, will we see Arya run into her down south? Melisandre did say back in the 3rd season that they would meet again...
I literally started screeching at the TV during the rest of the Tower of Joy scene--at first I was afraid they were totally going to cop out on the reveal, but you can hear Lyanna straight up say 'Robert will kill him, you know he will', and the shot of that baby opening his eyes, with that music...
FUCK YOU HATERS!!!! R + L = J CONFIRMED!!!!
Bella Ramsay is such a wonderful little actress, and completely steals the show as Lyanna Mormont no matter what scene she's in. I hope we see her again next season.
THE KING IN THE NORTH. Seven hells, what a good scene. It evokes a different feel than the first time we see it with Robb in Season 1, and although it's triumphant as hell, you can't help but wonder if this will bode well for Jon. Either way, Sansa doesn't appear to look too happy towards the end, and it's all because Littlefinger is trying to sow those seeds of doubt and distrust. Of COURSE my Stark babies can't just get back to being a happy family once again. Creep.
FREY PIE. We not have Stoneheart, but holy cheesus is this just as satisfying.
HOLY SHIT CERSEI. God, you can tell this woman is just completely empty inside and gives no fucks now that her last child is gone. Was NOT expecting Cersei to be crowned queen at the end, but boy is a wildfire mixture of pride and fear. And Jaime gets back just in time to see it all unfold. You really get this giant sense of foreboding at the glance they exchange in the throne room, and it's really right there that we start to get the feeling that maybe Jaime really will be the little brother to kill Cersei in the end.
Olenna Tyrell officially gives no fucks. It was lovely to see her put the Sand Snakes in their place. I think this is probably the one scene to do with Dorne that I actually enjoyed.
Daenerys. Almost teared up when she put that pin on Tyrion.
AND FINALLY! She is on her way to Westeros. Holy sheet.
There's no way it can be this easy though. Something HAS to happen--she's gotta run into trouble; maybe they meet Euron and get into a naval battle, something. I know everything in her storyline since Season 1 has built up to this moment, but there's no way it can be this easy. There's no way she'll just pull up to fucking King's Landing all hunky dory like this.
Ooooh shit. 10 bucks says when Cersei sees that fleet pulling up into Blackwater Bay she gives the order to start having King's Landing systematically reduced to melted rubble with the rest of the Wildfire and Jaime is forced to stop her to save the people once more, adding Queenslayer to his list of titles. Or maybe they both burn together, seeing as how they came into the world together, and he wants to die in the arms of the woman he loves.
Damnit, now I actually WANT this to happen!
If there's anything I missed, I'll get to it later--gotta hop on to class!
