i can't help but feel jealous and happy at the same time. i'm jealous because the fans get to have new trailers and updates about their fave franchise and i'm happy that the sooner this game comes out is the sooner we can keep moving forward to the most anticipated game in years.

Apparently Square Enix released new gameplay footage at the Square Enix Presents the other day. Not sure if this is true or not, but I'll spoiler-tag it anyway.

The boss fight is against Aqua in the Realm of Darkness and Sora is the one fighting her, not Riku and Mickey, which leaves another question now; given how Sora saves Aqua, what happened to Riku and Mickey?

That wasn't what I had in mind and the characters that I talked about in dying are the original characters because Disney would never allow Mickey to get killed, otherwise they would've just quit and cancelled KH3 all together.

Tash, I don't think there is any reason for you to worry. I do not think Square Enix's idea of game promotion is spoiling who the final boss is. I've seen the footage and yes, she has a big old health bar. But I very much doubt she will be the final boss. So don't fret too much.

I wasn't thinking she's the final boss. That thought didn't even occur to me at all, to be perfectly honest. Always figured that Master Xehanort is the definite final boss of the game.

It was mainly that the concern and confusion of Riku and Mickey given that they went into the Realm of Darkness to rescue Aqua only for Sora to end up going it himself. It's concerning if Aqua hurt them and left them to try and escape again, or they figure something out and discover Riku's new Keyblade after his Way to Dawn Keyblade(which I think is still better designed than his new Car-Key looking Keyblade) was broken.

Or maybe all four of them returned to Destiny Island and Riku has that meeting with his Replica. Personlly the way how the original characters might die is at the final battle ground.

Fair enough! I read it wrong. My apologies!! That said, it is easy to figure if only Sora is in that fight is because the others are busy with something else, whatever that may be. Either that, or it's a "tech demo" that does not feature everything as it will be in the final game...

Mickey and Riku will probably taken out of the picture initially, as gameplay will feature the part of Sora! Donald! And Goofy! Them finding Aqua is doubtably towards the beginning of the story and unlikely to be a scenerio where Riku actually meets his end.

As a first to the Kingdom Hearts franchise, KH3 will have a different opening song and a different ending song rather than the same song being reprised like "Simple and Clean" and "Sanctuary".

Square Enix and Disney have officially announced in a press release and on their social media that the opening theme song for Kingdom Hearts III will be a collaboration with Hikaru Utada and Skrillex will be produced by Poo Bear. The theme song, titled "Face My Fears", will be released on January 18th, 2019, almost a week ahead of the Kingdom Hearts III Japan release. In addition, "Don't Think Twice" will also be released on the same day.

As reported a couple of days ago, "Face My Fears" will be the opening song while "Chikai"/"Don't Think Twice" will be the closing theme.

Kingdom Hearts III will release for the PS4 and Xbox One on January 25th, 2019 in Japan and January 29th worldwide.

Well, according the new update on Union X...

when the Possessed Riku stabbed Maleficent with the dark Keyblade and when she lost to Sora, Donald and Goofy, she sent her consciousness back in time to the simulation of her home world, where, unable to change history, was confronted by a mysterious voice(Most likely Xehanort's past self, but I'm thinking it's more of the Master of Masters) tells her where she actually is and tells her mostly about the Keyblade War, the Foretellers and, surprise surprise, the Book of Prophecies which she still doesn't have apparently.

Now, theory here is that in order to return to the present as her body has died out, memories of those from her world must be returned so that her body can regenerate and she can return it, thus her return in KH2, meaning that she wasn't in the Realm of Darkness at all when she first 'died'.

Which ultimately means, if things turn out to be catastropic for our heroes, Sora may end up having to travel back in time to change history and thus, all of the events of the entire series will never happen and lo and behold, it's the case of X-Men: Days of Future Past all over again along with the ending of Infinity War and thus Sora will never meet Kairi, Mickey, Donald and Goofy. I think that will most likely happen now in order to save everyone and thus, we may have the ending of KH3 spoiled completely.

Well, at least it makes sense with one mystery from the ending of X(Chi) now.

I had a similar theory that basically was that the Universe WAS going to be destroyed like Xehanort wanted but Sora and co will somehow figure out a way for it to restart without Xehanort this time. Idk if that makes sense, and I guess the Keyblade war would still happen, but at least the Universe would be back on track after that

After watching the latest Super Smash Bros: Ultimate trailer with the Adventure Mode,

especially where even Cloud disintegrates which is similar to the ending of Avengers: Infinity War, NOW I'm half-convinced that's how KH3 ending or the final battle against Xehanort will play out since a lot of companies seem to be inspired by the fact many heroes die while the bad guy wins and gets what he wants these days. Please for the love of us KH fans, Nomura, don't turn KH3 into another Infinity War and kill off the awesome characters!...which I still think will happen.

Anyway, seeing Sora with Flynn is cute.

This tangled trailer pretty much sums up what I've always felt frustrated about in the entire series until now: We finally now have a game where we feel like we're IN the movies, instead of just feeling like we're in a themepark recreation devoid of all life besides heartless and nobodies.

It's a bit bitter sweet since it's awesome to see it finally happen and done so well, but at the same time it kind of retroactively makes the rest of the entire series drop in quality when put next to KHIII in this regard.

What's there to suggest KH3 will have an ending like Avengers: Infinity War?

Since this is your thesis, name 5 or more big companies that have pulled that kind of ending after the released of Marvel's lastest crossover movie.

Okay, I overreacted again. Sorry. It just seems that way to me and, seeing that KH3 will be the darkest of all the KH games, Super Smash Bros: Ultimate pulling off something similar to Avengers: Infinity War, and with Cloud in the latter game(since I doubt he'll return in KH3 despite how much I want him to be in that game), that's how I'm feeling the upcoming game in January will end up or something similar.

I've been preparing myself for the worst when it comes to the fates of Sora, Riku, Kairi(especially her), Roxas, Xion, Namine, Lea, Isa, Terra, Ventus and Aqua, and maybe even Mickey, Donald and Goofy(though it's extremely unlikely Disney would ever allow the Disney Trio be killed and not return to life), and as much as I am still hoping for a Happy Ending for the game, that hope is fading each day.

I can't name five or more of the big companies, but I can at least say that Nintendo pulled it off already and Ultimate is out in a month and one day from now, and it wouldn't surprise me that Square Enix would eventually go down that road. Sorry that I overreacted over nothing again.

You are definitely overreacting over nothing, Tash. You're upset over a trailer of all things in the case of "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate." And that trailer is obviously advertising a premise that the player will spend much of their time reversing the horror depicted at the beginning.

In the case of "Infinity War," the comic storyline that served as the source of inspiration for the film has as its premise that

Thanos wipes out half of all life in the universe and the remaining heroes

must then try to undo it (which they did and will do so again).

I won't argue there, except that I wasn't really upset with the trailer. It was that, given Nomura's role in the game since he designed Cloud despite the fact that he once mentioned that he hates Nintendo for some reason, it sort of increased my fears of how KH3 will play out. Especially since Nomura's upset with the fact that Xehanort's gonna be ancient history and maybe he's using the dark material he was unable to use in FFXV(when he was kicked out of the project when the game was still Versus XIII at the time) for KH3.

Spoiler: (For those who haven't seen the movie yet or even read the comic's storyline, I'd say it's still spoilable)

The only way to undo Thanos's destruction is to figure out how to travel back in time and prevent him from doing so, but with him having the Time Stone, that'll be extremely difficult and the only thing we know of so far...or at least I do, is that Spider Man will return and his upcoming film is set after the next Avenger's film coming out next year.

Also, someone once made a theory that Demyx and Vexen are disguising themselves as members under the real Ansem's orders or something. I'm probably wrong, but you never know. I'd hate to see Demyx killed off for good. He may be a slacker, but I really like him; He's cute in the games, and HILARIOUS in the Manga!
