Chayefsky must have seen the future. Everything about this film is dead-on.

Ebert's second review, which hits pretty much every technical aspect of note. I'll post some thoughts on the political satire after I've digested it a bit more.

Red Cliff Parts I & II

Fairly enjoyable, have to get the Chinese version of it though. The US version will be condescend because our "dumb American brains wont be able to tell the difference between all the characters with similar sounding names"

I thought it was pretty shit.

Film felt like it had no real structure, and I'm sick of horror movies about retard teenagers.

As usual, the slice-n-dice movies are good for laughs XD. I ROFL'd on it :duhard:. Found it amusing that it was so funny.

Coraline
I loved this movie! It was amazing and imo, nearly bordered on a thriller movie, it was actually pretty creepy. Awesome story and had me going til the very end ^_^!

Halloween
I seriously LOVE this remake to fuckin death. It was just AMAZING. I love how serious and dark the story was (and Michael's step dad being such a fuckin ASShole was so damn funny too in a wierd way XD). I just love the story flow in it and the ending was just pure WIN. I like the girl who played Laurie Strode and the kid who played young Michael. They both did so freakin well!

InuYasha: Swords Of An Honorable Ruler
This is by far my most favorite InuYasha movie ^_^! I love how they showed more of that estranged brother-relationship between InuYasha and Sesshomaru. Nice they had a movie that focused on those two :).

(Also, I want to mention for Twilight, I loved the books and the movie was okay but I didn't really like Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen. It just felt off alot, however I sure did love Kristen Stewart as Bella ^_^. She was great! Alice was just pure WIN XD. Still the movie went by a tad fast. Don't hate it but it was okay.)

Well I like Kristen Stewart as an actress so what am I to do? ROFL! Oh I forgot one movie I DID see last night.

Blindness
This movie was really wierd, hard to tell if i liked it or not O.o cuz the entire plot was just really... ya. It seemed pretty good and I liked the way they had all this whiteness to it and the camera angles and such but... Idk. I think I have to watch it again to figure this out.

Slow burner of a story but very good film; a woman finds herself caught up in an assassination plot to kill an intelligence agent.

Max Payne, again (saw it in theaters earlier)

It's not a bad movie for a game adaptation, it's quite dark, depressing and artistic, and it's got this real detective story slash action flick thing going on, something I haven't seen for quite a while. I do however wish they stuck closer to the game though (what else is new?), which had more solitude (as in, Payne being pretty much the only character, as opposed to the movie, where everyone gets loads of screen time) and was in the film noir style, with loads of deep (and awesome) monologues and analogies and whatnot. The movie relied more on the visuals, which is a shaem, 'cause if they copied just a few of the lines from the game, they would've made the movie loads more awesome.

That, and the voice don't match.

After that, Iron Mang again, watched it in the theaters as well. Awesome movie, better than Payne in its own way.

Sex Drive.

Which was actually consistently pretty hilarious. I didn't go into it expecting anything(I don't even really remember any commercials for it, really); my brother just gave me a short summary before we watched it.

I laughed a lot, so lots of laughing = good comedy. =D

Sounds like my experience with Night at the Roxbury (look for 'what is love collection' on the internets for a meme that came from that). Horrible movie, loads of 90's music, but excessively funnay once you're intoxicated. It's a bit like American Pie, only less retarded, not a series, and actually funnay (imo). But they lose that in the second half of the movie or something though.

Not a bad movie? What the fuck have you been smoking chief? It's a completely shit film disregarding that it's a game movie. Bad acting, bad pacing, bad action. Fuck it's a completely awful film.

Iron Man is in a completely different league altogether.

I thought Max Payne was entertaining, but it was more for the unintentional comedy than any kind of competency... Kind of like the way I can listen to Porcupine Tree and Limp Bizkit and love them both for completely different reasons.

Anybody who tries tells me what I should and shouldn't appreciate can die in a fire.

Hey, I won't disagree. Plenty of awful films are fun to watch because they're awful.

I think one of the best movies adapated from video games would be the Super Mario Bros film, hands down. That was probably one of the best video game films ever done. It was unqiue and epically done while also staying true to the original story. John Leguizamo was also a pretty awesome Luigi.

And Dennis Hopper as Bowser? Fucking genius.
