I don't mind some details being inaccurate, like Leonidas meeting Xerxes. But slavery was such a huge part of Spartan society that I still think there's a gap in the story. Despite it being based on a comic book, which I am quite aware of.
Doesn't matter if it is based on a comic book or not. All the talk of justice and freedom still seems out of place.

The 300 is complete fiction inspired actual events. That's all there is to it. I don't see how you can feel that it's a problem when it's irrelevant to the structure of the film.
I find it odd when people go to these films and get irritated by them being historically inaccurate. It's supposed to be an entertaining piece of media, not a history lesson.
It's not about what actually happened, it's about telling an interesting story. The graphic novel wasn't historically accurate, it was full of the same macho bravado bullshit/justice(fuck it was worse than the film in some parts) bullshit that the film is, but no one complained back then.
